I've got a bit more of a mish-mash than I typically have had over the years but still only three brands of clubs (or four if you include the ball).

There's a lot of brands of irons, wedges and putters that have worked fine for me over the years. I'm really partial to Ping and Titleist irons but some others, too.

 

But every time I use a ball other than a Pro V1 or Pro V1x it doesn't take me long to find out I don't like them as well.

 

And when I think back to the driver/fairway/hybrid "woods" category, basically the Taylormade stuff has always worked better than alternatives. Ping make good fairway woods but I don't care for their drivers and hate their hybrids. Callaway makes good fairway woods and hybrids but I hate their drivers. Titleist "woods" just don't work at all for me for some reason. 

 

Question for the Rules gurus...

 

If I switched to an Odyssey putter, would still count as a separate brand or does that count under Callaway? I've got an Odyssey putter that's still undergoing on-course auditions.

I am sad to leave the respected 8-club-brand anti-OCD elite.  Down to 7 when taking the Tour Edge Exotics 3W out for a 2nd driver, my 2nd Titleist.  I should've just found a TEE driver, duh!  Btw not counting Srixon and Cleveland as the same brand, nor ball, bag, or accessories.

For this thread we counted Odyssey/Callaway, and Cleveland/Srixon as 1 brand each.

4 for me. 

 

Iwill never play any woods besides TaylorMade, so those are set. 

My Scotty has been mine since I bought it in 2003, so its not going anywhere. 

I do prefer Cleveland wedges, but I've had the same Srixon 56° for over 8 years. I have some ZipCores on the way though.

The irons are currently Srixon, but may swap to TaylorMade. Still deciding between ZX7 and P7MC for later this summer. My z745s are getting a little worn and I want something shiny and new.
