2.5.  Titleist fairways, hybrids, and balls. Ping everything else.  I have a Sub 70 3 utility iron that may get in the bag this year. 

 

I didn't own a Ping club before 3 years ago, then they started taking over...all with open competition in fittings. 

 

I actually like the Ping gloves, shirts and bags, too. They may not be flashy, but almost everything they do is thoughtful, IMO. 

 

Now that Ping has removed the turbulators from the fairways and hybrids, they could press Titleist there, too. They don't bother me on the driver. For the fairways and hybrids, they seemed way out of place.

Meant to calculate the updated numbers earlier, but got caught up with a busy week. Here are the numbers for the average number of different brands in WRX'rs bags. Reminder that the original question was specific to clubs, so I didn't include balls or bags since not everyone included that info.

 

There were a total of 152 responses...here's the results:

 

1 brand: 6 (3.95%)

2 brands: 19 (12.5%)

3 brands: 35 (23%)

4 brands: 38 (25%)

5 brands: 31 (20.4%)

6 brands: 18 (11.8%)

7 brands: 2 (1.32%)

8 brands: 3 (1.97%)

 

Interesting notes:

- 68.4% of WRX'rs have between 3-5 brands in their bags

- Of the 6 guys who only carry one brand, all were either all-PING or all-Titleist

- Most popular slot to carry a brand different from the rest in the bag is the putter slot

 

Special shoutout to the 3 guys who carry 8 different brands in their bags...that is true commitment to being uncommitted, Lol!

If they were smart (and my guess is some are) they would have crawlers that pull posted and threads with certain brands included. Tally number of mentions good/bad/otherwise to gauge internet geek interests.

Agreed! Well, I’ve interacted with reps from TaylorMade and Sub 70 here on WRX, so I know those two monitor this forum for sure.
 

Pretty sure Srixon is heavily involved in WRX too...not sure which other OEM’s, but probably most have some eyes on content here in some way.

Don't really have any brand loyalty, I just play what looks and feels good and tests all right, with some bonus points for coming with a shaft I want as a stock option.
