I try to keep each "type" of club the same manufacturer because to me they each have their own "feel". Just a personal preference though.

Alright...just went through and calculated the updated numbers. This will be my last time calculating the responses because it's a lot of work calculating by hand. I'm bored with golf courses being closed in Ontario, but not that bored! 😉

 

There were 215 responses, and these were the results:

 

1 brand: 12 (5.6%)

2 brands: 23 (10.7%)

3 brands: 51 (23.7%)

4 brands: 53 (24.7%)

5 brands: 43 (20%)

6 brands: 24 (11.2%)

7 brands: 6 (2.8%)

8 brands: 3 (1.4%)

 

Since the last update, again most of the 1 brand bags were all-PING, and most WRX'rs (68.4%) fall in the 3-5 brand bag category.

 

So that's it, my work is done...BallerNate out! 😎

Thanks for taking the time to run the numbers by hand.  Sounds like I am a typical WRX's with four brands in the bag.

My pleasure, it was interesting to see the breakdown of everyone’s setups and very interesting results.

 

I think WRX’rs are different than the typical golfer in that most just play what works best for them, and there aren’t the typical “poser bags”. I think a lot more average golfers would have 1 brand bags because they see that on the PGA Tour and think that’s what golfers are supposed to do when they set up their bags.

I use the club that fits me best. That said, I started on Mizuno wedges several years ago and now have Mizuno irons, but I hit several brands before making my choice. My driver is Cobra, hybrids Taylor Made and my putter is Odyssey.
