In the driver with standard black, blue and red they were good, but nothing that made me stand up and say I have figured this game out.

I hated the blue, I do not remember what it was about it.  The Black was pretty good, but not much better than UST shafts I had been playing.  The red though, the Red is nice.  I will put it in my fairways at some point I believe (Still really love my UST/Mamiya Black shafts from 2006ish)  The red with tipping has been in my driver and it is the best for me, but not mind bendingly good.

I put the Blue in on a whim late last season and was immediately hitting it straighter and longer. Even with softer late season fairways I was in some spots that I hadn't seen all year.

We'll see if it holds up this year.

Put the blue in the driver and had several rounds where I tested it head to head on every par 4 and 5 against the former hottest shaft on tour...125msi rogue silver. The ventus was not faster, was not longer, but was straighter. The two shafts were basically the same on distance but ventus hit more fairways.

I could game the black or the blue but truly love the on course performance of d+ LTD 70TX. it’s just reliable for me.

It’s the best shaft I’ve ever hit for me. I’ve never had something that is as stable and straight hitting as this line. Blue profile isn’t for me, but I have a Black 6x and 7x for the driver, 8x for the 4 wood and a Red 9x for the 7 wood. I’ve always been afraid of the left miss, but this is the first shaft/driver combo I can reliably hit that way. The combo with the TSi3 driver has completely transformed my tee game this season. My last three rounds have been the best I’ve ever driver the ball as far as distance and fairways hit at my home club, and the season as a whole I’m up around 15% on fairways hit vs last year.

I'm in the same boat, except I have black in my driver, 3 wood, and hybrid. Blue 7x did not work for me in driver, put the black 7x in and was much improved. Had enough success with that, put black 8x in 3 wood. Loved that combo too, so put black 10x in my 5/7 wood then black 10tx in my hybrid lol. Haven't considered a shaft change at the top end in a long time, which is rare for me.

I've owned a blue and black. Undeniably they are really, really good products, but I don't think they are inherently superior to the other super-premium offerings out there.

I had a nightmare of a time with my driving in the off season. The black 6x has been a game changer for me. Very unusual to not be at least 310 out there and in play. It does feel more “forgiving” if that’s possible. Feels like a I can draw or fade on command which is usually tough for me. I worked out some great deals for mine though. Play 6x black in driver and 7x blue in fairway. Love both.

Turned you into a top 10 driving player on the PGA tour! I guess I need to get one of these.

there is a reason those guys play to the level they do. I am not that. My courses are much easier and the rough is not punitive, less hazards off the tee etc etc. We also have very firm fairways right now. I carry the ball 285-290 with driver. Lots of longer hitters than I on here

Oh I believe it I’m just jealous since I’m not going to see a drive rolling out on a PNW fairway until maybe May-June. Haha I’m happy if the ball just bounces once at the moment.

I have not hit any of them yet. I am hoping to be able to hit the Black in 6x or 7x when my knee is closer to 100%. I haven't had success dropping into the 60ish gram range, but it seems like many haven't had an issue dropping weight in both driver and fairway with the Ventus line.

Weirdly we are usually sopping wet an plug ball city up here in Canada at this time but we have had barely any rain to start spring so fairways are rock hard.

As for the shafts, I don't know what it is but the black has this crisp feeling I've never felt in a driver shaft. Truly unique sensation. Lovely.

I’ve always played 70 gram class in drivers but have no issues playing and controlling the Ventus in 6x. At 64 grams raw weight it’s the lightest shaft I’ve ever been able to game.

I tried the Black 6X, it was different. It launched at 17* and spun between 1800-1900.....high knuckle balls that went straight. The TPT just had a more penetrating flight and gave me more roll out. I think if I'd never played the TPT the Ventus would be the shaft I'd play.
