Sunglass game on tour

Recommended Posts

My optometrist told me to start wearing sunglasses a few years ago because I have burns on my retina from the sun. The only time I’m in the sun is golf since I’m 100% Irish and not a beach goer. So it is a thing. I got the Oakley prism and they’re great as they actually brighten the course but cut down the glare and the harmful aspects of the sunlight. Plus as blade said, you can’t see the edges so don’t even realize they’re on. Plus they’re like 1 oz. highly recommend if you need to wear sunglasses

also my vote is Adam Scott wears them the best. Brian gay and hunter mahan are the worst. They look like kardashian glasses

That’s the Chris DiMarco look. Guy had a sunglasses contract, didn’t like wearing them so he just hung them on the back of his hat for 5 years.

THAT was funny as sh*t😂😂😂

I didn't really care for DiMarco prior to that however that shot him into my Top-5😂🤙

I hope that you're gettin to hit the ball Brotha👊

Stay Well🍻

I am surprised your optometrist didn’t also strongly recommend polarized lenses.

I didn’t want the polarized lenses to affect green reading. They even out the contrast 🙂

I know some folks do, never had that problem myself here in Arizona.

Green reading is not difficult with polarized for everyone.

Polarized lenses do not affect clarity, depth and color. Many people wrongly think they reduce contrast, when in fact they actually slightly increase contrast. They only suppress horizontally reflected light.

Agree 💯 Shilgs!!

They never bothered me at all on the green(Costa Del Mar, which I have on in this pic, & MJ)

Plus, I looked good in em🤪😜

Madison, on the other hand, wears em till she hits the green, then they go on the bag. I ragged her about puttin em on backward so she either hands em to her caddie or hangs em on the bag, lolol.

Stay Well Brotha👊

Good to see you Richard!! Your picture makes me slightly sad as I lost my mizuno hat last night carrying my clubs on the subway going to simulator league night 😞  Had it on my 4 iron on the train but wasn’t there when I arrived at the facility. Maybe some sly thieving BLADES ONLY golf fan stole it😂😂

Grew up in AZ and didn’t wear sunglasses while playing ever. Prob why my eyes are FFFFF’d

Grew up in Minnesota and moved here in ‘93. Short after wondered why I was getting headaches on the course and realized I was squinting in the sun. Went to sunglasses then....changed to polarized after lasik surgery.

Interesting as I just got lasik earlier this year finally. Best decision.  Is there a thing or a reason with polarized and lasik?

I am not sure of the reason.  But everyone I know that has had it the surgeon has recommended polarized.

Got to give Knudson 10/10 here.

He looks like he's just outdone Sean Connery on the baccarat table and then knocked up a new engine design for the Saturn V before nipping out for a swift nine.

Page two on sunglasses:

Wearing dark non-polarized lenses can do more damage to you eyes than no sunglasses. The dark lenses open your pupils, letting in more harmful UVB (front of the eye damage) and UVA (rear of the eye damage).

Hmmm... not to get into a technical discussion and put everyone to sleep, but I don't think that is right.  As long as a lens is 100% UVA/UVB or 100% UV400 blocking it offers protection. Whether polarized or not is actually irrelevant.

Yes, you're right, however, not all sunglasses have UV protection.

And some may say they have UV protection, but in the world of today, there is no guarantee that's true. Some use a coating that degrades or scratches off easily, as opposed to filtering within the lens.
