Cobra Rad Speed Masters Edition?

Came across this in my local shop yesterday. Couldn’t resist! 

Haven’t seen anything about it online.

 

Came with an amazing Shaft upgrade (a shaft I have played and loved in the past) HZRDUS Hulk PVD

 

Price was super fair given that shaft upgrade, $549

 

ANyone know anything about this?

By the way, already took it for a range session yesterday and I have to say its a great feeling and performing club.

 

I struggle with high launch in my driver and this certainly has helped with that.

 

It goes significantly lower than my Sim2 which is at 8 degrees. I was hitting this at the standard 9.

I was wondering about a unique hardcover. Didn’t give me one.

The HZRDUS green has never felt quite as stout to me as I would expect—that said I tend to be high spin and high launch and it helps. YMMV.

 

Any Cobra fans know anything about this release? I’m just curious, nothing on their website, etc..

 

The sticker on the club in the store did say “Season Opener” which to me implies it is indeed a deliberate Masters special.

Please post more info! I want the RAD driver but absolutely hate the color options. I usually don’t like green but i surprisingly love the look of this driver. I need it now😂

if it's like the Pars and Stripes release, then there should be a matching custom headcover to go with the release...def. go back and ask/do some digging

Heard they're scrapping advertising these since Ricky out of the Masters and Bryson uses ancient driver technology...They need new Pros...

Well that SUCKS!...I don’t play any equipment because the pros do, I play them because they work/look cool/etc.  I was very excited to get the new Masters Edition one as I’ve had a few over the years.

I dont get why Cobra can't get a head Bryson likes into a new line. They've had 2.5 release cycles now where Bryson has been doing his new thing and where he has stopped playing the latest model they make.

 

Callaway does the triple diamond thing, TM has tour issue heads where they can pick and choose face angles and max COR, etc.

 

I get it that what Bryson is doing is pretty unique, but I dont get why and how Cobra just cannot get him into current models even if they arent the EXACT same as retail, just somewhat different with no score lines, or a shaved face, or a certain shape, or whatever.

 

Even more now they've signed a LD guy - Kyle Berkshire - another huge hitter. Wont be long until Kyle stops playing their retail models as well.

 

Hell, even Ricky stuck with the old heads and played the F9 when the SZ came out.

Honestly, I think this shows the production cycles of oems... I think the Berkshire signing indicates they have a long drive head coming. 
 

id bet we see Bryson in a new driver soon...

That's awesome man great find and awesome combo! I game the f9 camo edition absolutely love the look. My bro plays that same shaft in the PING G410...definitely not as stout as I had thought as well you're right.

I do think Cobra has some amazing small releases... My local store has an old Cobra with a wood finish... it's pretty awesome (not $200 awesome)

Yeah they’ve done some great special editions over the years. I’ve had several of the “Masters” edition drivers and the new iron color ways are really cool.

We have them at our local shop. We got two of the stars edition last time for the release and two of the new masters editions as well. They do come with a custom headcover as well so make sure you get it. Our stars edition has dropped to 299$ and that’s with the real Ventus blue shaft in there as well.

299 for the Stars edition and a Velocore shaft??? Where is this magical place??!!😀
