4 Wood Recommendations-what are you hitting?

Looking for recommendations on a new 4 wood. I am thinking about a G425 3 wood which I could increase the loft by 1.5 degrees to 16 but

concerned this will close the face too much. Looking for other recommendations on what others have hit with a square face in 4 wood loft.

G425 5 wood - play with that.  Super easy to hit, square face, ball goes far.

Have a Titleist TS2 16.5* in the bag currently and it is likely to stay.  Got to try a friends TSi2 4wd out the other day and found them to be not worth the money to "upgrade".  I still want to try a TSi3 4wd out as that may get me to change.  But have no issues with the TS2 currently.

Original M2 3hl (16.5).  I haven’t found anything to knock it out yet.  Works really well from the tee, the fairways and rough.  Surprisingly versatile for a fairway wood.

Tour Edge makes a 4 wd in the C721 - they call it a 3 wd at 16.5 and have it at 43 inches. Depends if you like their shafts.

 

Ping 5 wd but swing weight is low.

 

Mizuno STZ 5 wd and open it up to 16 - comes with a real deal fwy shaft - Motore X F3 or F1 and others. One problem ... probably a 7 week wait.

TEE woods and hybrids out perform all the OEM’s for me 

 

I have a CBX 119 16.5* 3(4)wood in my bag. 
 

I haven’t hit the TEE C721 line or the EXS Pro woods, but the EXS Pro hybrid is the best I’ve hit from any OEM since Adams

Found a mint used Rogue 4w on Black Friday and swapped in a Tensei CK 60 shaft and so far been very happy with results. Launches perhaps a little lower than I'd prefer but feels good and gained 10+ yards when needed on my Epic Flash 5w lofted down to 17* (which I wasn't complaining about).

Waiting on the Mizzy 5 wood - 4 weeks waiting, at least 2 more to go. At least that seems a reliable wait time on individual clubs (not irons).

Mavrik SZ 

 

Launches like my old three wood, but visual loft and shape give me confidence to play it from more places (replaced my 3 & 5 woods).  Sets up square to my eye and flies with no draw bias.

I’m playing the TSi2 fairways and can’t imagine anything being more well rounded than these. Great off the deck, plenty long off of the tee.

Ditto on both of these. I'm personally using the M2, Tensei blue 60R. Can't find anything to kick it out of the bag, and imagine the M3 is almost exactly the same. And I don't have to worry about adjusting it, non adjustable and built to my specs. I'd be happy to buy another and have a backup built. Good fairway clubs are hard to find, for me at least.

Another vote for tour edge...exs 220 pro 16.5*. Bomber!

 

Would also throw in an ‘17 M1 3HL as another option. Also a good one for me.

Have a Mizuno ST-Z 3-wood with a Motore X F3 that’s supposed to arrive Monday. Planning to play it at 17*. I’ll post some observations soon as I can.

For me the TSi2 4 wood and Sim2 max 3HL were both excellent. I picked the titlest for the adjustable hozel and 42.5 inch shaft. It's a genuine 4 wood whereas the TM is  3 wood shaft length just with more loft hence the name 3HL. Very pleased so far.

My vote goes to the TEE C721 16.5 3w. Easy to launch off the fairway and straight even on miss hits.

Maverick 4 wood with Riptide 7.  May trade for Epic Speed since I can get a 50% trade in bonus. However not sure it’s worth the upgrade.  Anyone hit the Epic Speed 4 wood?

Personally using a Mizuno st190 TS 15*, lofted up one click towards higher. These particular fairways are deeper faced and quite open in standard configuration. When playing at 16* loft, face angle still 1.8* open. I  paired with a DI 8s tipped a bit and at 42.75” with NDMC grip with my quite particular taping, and some neutral hot melt to get swingweight to D4, this combo has been quite impressive for me so far.

Rogue was solid but a smidge closed to my eye. The mav SZ sits perfect and with heavy weight back has good spin and relative forgiveness.
