Disassembling SC Futura 5W

Anyone had any luck disassembling SC Futura 5W? Similar to the one pictured?

 

I assume get the screws out then either allow it to sit in boiling water or some type of acetone to break down any adhesive holding plate/face in place?

 

Working on a project/restore. Probably torch the stainless part and undecided on the aluminum part.

If there is Loctite on the screws if you have a soldering iron just take the iron and place it on a screw for like 30sec, this should heat up the screw and allow you to remove it with ease as the Loctite (if there is any) will warm up and not hold anymore.

It’s always a bummer when these threads just die out without answers. 
 

So here is what I experienced with this. Smaller Allen head screws did have loctite (or similar) but came right out easily without heat. 
 

Once the weights were removed I threw the head in a vise grip and heated up the bottom plate with a heat gun for a couple of minutes. I then carefully pealed the two pieces apart using a towel and wrench. It came apart surprisingly easily. It’s healed together by several small pieces of double sided tape. 
 

Hope this helps someone in the future.

Did you end up adding back some double sided tape when reassembling? Doing the same with an x12 right now.

I re-assembled my futura with readily available 3M 'heavy duty' double sided foam tape (red backing, grey foam)

Thanks these pics helped a lot. I got my putter back from refinishing but no double sided tape was reapplied. Your photos confirmed where the tape placement was from the factory. Looks like it's only on the bottom of the plate and not behind the face at all like some of the other putters.

I am looking to restore a SC Futura 5.5m. I recently got it new to me from my local store. The face is the only real problem with the looks. It has been warm down so the black paint is starting to not be present in the middle. Love everything else about the club. Would love any advice to get the club looking like new with it not costing an arm and a leg to have someone do it.

I’m trying to put a 3” extension in a 5w. I pulled the grip. Removed the tape and this is what I found at the butt of the shaft. In my years I’ve never seen this and have no clue if I should torch it and cut it below(it goes into the shaft roughly 2”) and go 5 inch extension. I’d rather not cut off any shaft.

Looks like someone put a black plastic graphite shaft extender in it and cut it off after?
