I think it would be great for golf if she’s the next big thing. Her being so long would definitely put more eyes on the LPGA.

I think it would be equally great if Lydia Ko was the "next big thing".... Comebacks are pretty exciting in golf.

As much as I would like to agree with you, I'm not sure that I would agree that it would put more "eyes" on the LPGA.  There already is some pent up demand for more women's golf (research by the Nielsen company), but hardly any air time.  That's the real bottleneck.  At least Patty will get the tongues wagging!

Golf Channel will always lead with PGA Tour coverage on Thu/Fri, but I guess they also have to show Korn Ferry events too? Sometimes I feel like there's only 1.5 hrs of LPGA coverage which is ridiculous.

Yeah, precisely.  The economics for GC/NBC is in favour of the PGA ... and always will be.

Lydia!!!  Again!  She is a real joy to watch ... but I am pulling for Patty.   But if she should lose, well Lydia is a good alternative!

What I love is that Lydia has thrown caution to the wind and is just going for it!  I love it!  Even if she comes up short, there can be no way that Lydia doesn't gain a tremendous amount of confidence from this week!

Yeah, win or lose, it will be a "win" for Lydia and I couldn't be happier for her ... she was determined to gain more distance, and so far she is showing it.  She has been working on her fitness, strength and body movement ... she's getting stronger ... so yeah, kudos to her.  She's taken so much flak and criticism from others, me included at times, so it would be somewhat sweet vindication of sorts for her (not that she cares what I say ... but in terms of the Leadbetter's, etc.)

I just noticed on those replays that Lydia is switching between a conventional and left hand low putting grip. That's odd.

Patty shoots a 33 on the front and after starting with a 5 shot lead only leads by 2 after Lydia finishes the 11th.

She's been doing that for a couple of years now.  Left hand low on or about 10 feet and in.
