Gotta disagree. I think Judy and Terry are one of the best, if not the best pair in the broadcast booth.

Most of the attention was on Lydia today, rightfully so, but we can't overlook Patty's performance this week. Four rounds in the 60? Wire to wire? One shot off the major scoring record? 300+ yds off t

Jordan returns to the winners circle. Lydia gives the middle finger to all the critics, especially the Leadbetter fans and PXG haters, and a promising young rookie nearly sets a record in a major.

Wow! Really?  They’re Korean heritage. Lydia was actually born in Korea

I don’t know what point you’re trying to make. I was just saying that the women with Korean flags by their names that have dominated the LPGA recently have more competition. Just look at the 2021 winners prior to Inbee winning last weekend. I personally don’t have anything against them, just making an observation. If another Korean wins, that’s fantastic. I’m Asian American myself FWIW.

Well, shows what I know. I was certain Danielle wouldn't be ditching her MGM staff bag any time soon, and then...

Define reachable. Are we talking a risky fairway wood into the green, or a 6 iron?

Pin location will matter too, they'll probably be much more generous with them without the wall, except Sunday they were deadly hole location, even with the wall.  If the flag is in a spot that isn't a real hard up and down even if you end up in the water, you may get more players rolling the dice and thinking they can get out with par even if they get wet.

The 18th is a 646-yard par 5 with an island green, and always plays a significant role in determining each year’s champion. In 2009, Brittany Lincicome’s eagle on the 72nd hole marked the only time in history one of golf’s Majors–male or female–was won on the final hole with an eagle.

It makes it sound like Brittany made 646 yards in 2 shots..

Not a chance. The hole has always been shortened on Sundays.

I believe it plays around 480 - 500 yds on Sunday. Brittany hit driver and hybrid if i recall. In 2009 she was averaging 272 off the tee.

Is there really a generous hole location, though? Maybe dead center? I'd expect them to stick with the usual rotation using the front right, front left, back left, and back right on Sunday.

The green really will not be reachable in two shots for most of the players anyway - even when moved up.  They will need a really good tee shot to get them into a number range that they feel confident with and/or they need to stay out of the rough with their tee shots.  Also, the wind will factor into it as well.     Brooke and Lexi, just two of the power hitters on tour, both stated yesterday that they will have to carefully consider whether to go for it or not based on distance.

They both mentioned that the greens are firm and will not hold a ball without a steeper trajectory or more spin.   So, Brooke said the 3-wood is definitely out, but a cut 7-wood would be her "green light" and most definitely any distance involving her hybrids.    Lexi mentioned a 4-iron or better would be her distance.  Of course, if you need to make a birdie or something coming down 18 as your 72 hole, I suspect that they would go for broke (a Roy Tin Cup moment) as playing safe for the money is not what players like this are made of.

Any flags at the back of the green is dead, lay up and hope for birdie but accept par.

Didn't a few players carry Callaway sponsorship a number of years ago?

Also, several had Ping sponsorship for years, e.g. In Gee Chun.

Also, Sung Hyun was sponsored by Ping before coming to the LPGA.
