The GC crew showed a graphic with Thai winners on tour, but Pornanong does not have a win. She's won twice on the LET.

Patty is looking very strong and played well enough today to make tomorrow pretty stress free.  Any doubt I had it wasn't Patty's week disappeared after 3rd on 18.

Nice to see Mirim play well in defense of her title and Charlie has to be kicking herself she could have been low if not for some terrible mistakes.  Lexi makes a 9 on the 18th yikes.  Thing about this course is it's pretty straight forward but can bite you bad with a bad shot.

The only complaint I have of the coverage is that incessant prop airplane that provides the aerial shots.  What I wouldn't give for a SAM and some peace and quiet.

Worst that really happened for her today was a couple putts that needed one more roll and a couple more yards carry on 18 and she'd have had an easy uphill putt for birdie. 

 

Really nitpicking when you're like "That 67 coulda been a 64."

Is it too early to say "Wow"? Almost mistake proof, but certainly better than the chasers. As mentioned, Patty has a few shots to give away, and surely anything is possible (including a new tournament record), but this one is all but done. She's so long that I don't think keeping it in the fairway is that big an issue at this point. Maybe try to keep it away from the trees and OB stakes. Lol.

 

Speaking of chasers, were they not looking at the leaderboard? Mirim did a decent job, but the -1 and -2 rounds just didn't get it done. 

 

Great round by Ally, but she probably started the weekend too far back. Of course another six under round wouldn't hurt.

Not sure about the mix thing... But sure that. Singha sponsors her. Singha does have other non alcoholic products (eg bottled water etc).

Ingee was a Ping staffer for a few years at the same time as she had Hite Brewery as one of her sponsors.  I cannot imagine that Patty is a staffer (i.e: paid ambassador -- yet) but rather has her equipment sponsored and maybe a small fee for its use, but nothing like Brooke gets.

I apologize for getting nostalgic again, but whenever I see a blimp at a sporting event, I am always reminded by that movie "Black Sunday" ... and the Goodyear blimp at the Orange Bowl in Miami for Superbowl.    Maybe it was because of the Steelers v. Cowboys!

Tavatanakit might have my favorite swing in professional golf right now. It's smooth, controlled power. She's going to be a force in the LPGA swinging like that.

I don't know enough about Patty to have a feel for how she will handle tomorrow. But what a show it has been! It's a joy to see someone swinging with that freedom. She has a strong base and seemingly free shoulder turn. It's a pure, uninhibited golf. She playing with such a sense of freedom - in contrast to the chasers. My coverage had no ads and would switch to some random camera during the normal ad breaks. I got to see Lee6 on a green, and what a painful experience that was. She had an excruciatingly meticulous, and ultimately pointless routine (I believe), before hitting a lousy push from 8 feet that didn't go close to touching the hole. I wanted to jump into my TV screen and shout at her "Play, play, PLAY".

 

Anyone else tracking the rapidly diminishing snow on nearby peaks?

She was wearing a sleeveless top, and full length sleeves as a separate item.
