Order of play off the tee

I know my son will play games with people and who tees off first.  I think it happens a lot as competitors as they get older.  If a kid is really slow on the greens, lines up tap in putts, etc. he will purposefully get on the tee box first just to irritate them.  Generally, he likes to go 2nd or 3rd regardless of what he made on the previous hole.  If he gets to the tee box, has what is considered honors, but someone is visibly irritated after a bad hole he will let them get up and hit first.  Generally speaking, it is a bad drive by that person.  It becomes a game within the game for many.

If my kid did any of that during a real match, id correct him. if it was just a group of friends playing for fun, by all means have fun with it. but to me, all of that is poor sportsmanship respect the game a little better and find other ways to beat the opponent. There are other ways to play games within the game without disrespecting the opponent in those manners.

You obviously have no clue about playing competitively do you?  You sound a little insecure.  Probably one of those guys that thinks his daughter hitting it 200 at 16 is ripping it.

I am GenX.  If you really think I care about what you have to say, I don't.

Honestly if this sort thing bothers you and you can let your opponent under your skin this easy your not going to go far in tournament golf.

I am wondering if you have been around junior golf that much.

wonder all you want....if being disrespectful around this game is somehing you feel is apropriate, then by all means do whatever you want....but anyone who loves this game and what it stands for does not put up with disrespect on the course and it certainly shouldnt be taught to young kids....but we all have opinions, and thats ok.....but a lot of people do not like opinions that do not align with their own thoughts and thats ok too....sad but ok.   ive played many years of competitive golf at the jr level and into college....was never good enough to get past the D2 level, so you no longer have to wonder.......that being said, its a very small # of kids that act that way during competitive golf and those are the kids that get a bad reputation....like little Patrick Reeds running around claiming "sportsmnaship" and "competitve nature" when in fact, any kid who actls like that has a potentially good reputation soiled just so he can "get into his opponents head" which is the silliest thing ive ever heard at that level

Hmmmm....  but you can shell  out parenting tips about kids in a derogatory tone?  Talk about calling the kettle black.  Or Maybe this is your son trolling on your account again.

BTW...  didn’t say a thing about your kid.

and all i mentioned, was MY kid...what i would do if its MY kid.....you can teach your kids whatever you want....idc, but just because i have a diffeent opinion, doesnt mean you have to get all triggered over it and talk about my kids....we all have opinions......mine are just different than yours.....

Look guys. I’m mid aged. My driver goes 200 yards, and it goes straight occasionally. I thought I was ripping it. All you guys (and your kids) are hurting my feeling. And everyone should just stop.

I’m just kidding! (Except the driver part). I’m not sure these back-and-forth is doing anyone any good. So maybe let’s just go back to the original programming?
