Sun Mountain BOOM - Storm Trooper Edition

**Not really a Storm Trooper edition, just added some rubber patches 😄

 

Testing out my new set up...fairly impressed so far. The sound of the speakers are decent, gets loud enough but lacks low end. I really like how compact the bag is, storage is kinda limited but I don't carry too much. Hate bags that gets bloated once you start putting things in the pockets. Let me know what you think or if have any question...

What's the bar that holds your irons all in line? Is that an accessory from SM or something 3rd party?

 

Love the look of them all in formation, really works with the theme.

Thanks...It's 3 party club organizer I bought a while back but didn't fit my previous bag. Can't remember the brand name...I wanna say its called Caddy Rack.

I think I’ve looked at this bag 50 times.

I assume it’s a SM BOOM 5 way. Did the club organizer fit the top with ease, or were modifications/ adjustments needed to be made? 
 

I’m actually looking to get an older 5 way cart bag in the cheap, put the same type organizer and then fix an aftermarket leg stand to it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

 

I ride 90% push cart rentals when needed due to casual water >10% and most often end up at the driving range, hence the moniker!

Thanks! It's the 5 way bag...it fits perfectly without any modification. Turned out even better than I expected. 

I originally had this rack on a Ping Pioneer 14 way...fits but a little more snug.

That looks pretty sweet!  Could you provide some info on where you got the patches and how they are holding up?  Are they sewn on or attached with an adhesive?  Trying to see if adding patches (likely a different theme) would be a quick and easy customization or something more than that.  Also, how has your experience with the CaddyRack (one word) been?  It's not currently an option for me as my current bag has a 14-way divider but I've been looking into bags with fewer slots.

I just gorilla glued them on, holds up pretty well...

I've use the original Caddyrack in the past, this model is the Caddyrack pro. It's much improved due to the updated design and rubberized slots. So easy to organize and access my clubs...looks cool too!

Thanks for the info! The Pro model does look to be superior.  It's too bad that I don't see an 8 iron model available as that's all I need and an empty slot would irritate me.  I guess only the classic model has that option.

Are you friggen kidding me!!!!! Those must be the srixon zx4's - I just got mine today! 5 - AW as well... still had the caddy rack pro lying around unused as I never found an appropriate golf bag for it to work with my previous pings... seemed the soles were too wide... this looks absolutely perfect - i can't believe i came across this today...  Which exact sun mountain model is that???? Thank you and cheers!!!!

It's the Sun Mountain 5 way Boom bag. 

I love the Srixon utility irons (U65 & U85) so I was hoping that the ZX4 was a variation of that. Unfortunately the feel & sound is very different. Still a great set of iron.

Recently built a ZX7 and ZX5 combo...

My thinking was exactly the same. I still carry the U85 18 degree... I can live with the different feel as long as they perform (haven’t been able to hit them yet as everything is locked down here 👎🏻). 
I might have to just buy the bag unseen... looks great. Still shocked to come across this today.
