Rock Bottom Golf 50% trade in bonus is so weird!!

Why do they lower trade in values every time they offer 50% bonus. My trade is the same value now as it was with any other lower bonus they offered before. Seems so weird that they think people do not know this scam.

I think most people on Golfwrx are aware.  They do this when they run sales as well. However in the end if even with their lowered value the bonus is more than other places I’lol still trade in with RBG

RBG is #1 for stuff like this but the average consumer doesn’t know.

RBG is notorious for this. They are awful, or when there is a discount you may be able to use it on a 3 year old box of maxfli golf balls.

Because it is an awful website. All the deals you can get there can be had on several other websites.

Like when I got an email last year about 50% off the Sim driver. Logon to see whats up. Its their usual scam, the list the "their price" as $999, RBG price, $499, hey look at us, 50% off. When you ask them where its $999, no response. Happens all over their site.

 

And before anyone jumps down my throat, I've never actually been scammed by RBG, I've bought countless things there. I just think their polices are shady AF and you need to be very careful shopping their "deals".

No jumping down your throat.  As you said, you need a little savvy as a customer there, but there are deals to be had.  Just looked at my last 4 orders from them, all in 2021.  Preowned Wilson FG Tour F5 iron set 4-GW, very nice condition, $250.  Adidas Frostguard Jacket, prob $150 retail, $50.  New Scotty Cameron Phantom 5.5 just released, retail price obviously, but received before release date (many others still waiting from other retailers).  Brand new LH Honma TW XP-1 iron set 5-GW with Nippon 950 shafts, $500 (traded in two iron sets from the basement to offset entire cost, with bonus trade-in for store credit).  Just go in with open eyes, and one can do well with RBG.

Exactly. Just Google search what you are looking for, you can find the real price easily enough.

 

I just randomly picked the first driver that came up for me. Cobra Speedzone "their price" $449 - hasn't been that price in months, anywhere, including Cobra's own site. $299 RBG price, which is...well, its the actual price everywhere - not "33% off" as they claim. This kind of crap drives me nuts and it is exactly how they operate.

2nd swing is bad about that as well - showing inflated prices to try and convince you you are getting a deal.  I've seen them sell used clubs for more than you could buy new, all while telling you it 25% or so off.......

To me thats wildly different and something just about every retailer does. RBG *invents* prices that dont exist - and then stating right up front that you you are getting a massive discount by shopping with them.

I learned a while ago when dealing with them, you just have to look at the price out the door. Yes, they 100% jack prices to advertise at higher discounts, but i've also bought multiple pairs of Adidas Tour 360's from them for $80-90, as well as some $20/dozen ammo boxes of TP5 practice balls.

 

Always fast shipping to me, YMMV. If you ignore the BS and just look at out the door price, you can find some good stuff on there. For some reason I always to well on shoes, even when they're on sale elsewhere, I have better luck finding my sizes there.
