What % of your vehicle’s value do you have in your 14 club golf bag?

This is a funny question. I like it.

My car is worth $8200 according to NADA, obviously depreciated.

Replacement value on clubs and the bag contents? Conservatively $2900. Depreciated, the clubs are older, but still about $2800 bc the sweetspots would be considered low mileage.

About the same, 35%.

Got a 4 y/o Porsche Cayenne S. Worth around $40-50k these days I'd guess.

Bag value? Prolly somewhere around $4kish.

Great topic!!

I spend too much on clubs and way too much on cars!!!

My clubs come to 7% of my cars value and I have slowed my car trading.  One hit 35,000 miles for my all time record and my wife’s hit 28,000 miles.

LOL kind of a weird but enjoyable topic. The first guy posting with a Ferrari will probably skew the numbers.

I'm probably at around 10% but mostly because i just bought my car last year

Fun topic. Car is worth 9k depreciated and clubs replacement value probably 2400 but retail would be closer to 3500, I find deals haha. Either way probably too high of a percent.

I don't know the actual market values, but I know what I've paid for acquisition. Keep in mind I got incredible deals on both.

Clubs-$1400

Car-$500

So, from the standpoint of my pockets, my clubs have a value of 280% what my car is 🤣.

Car : 2007 honda civic, engine was recently replaced, probably 30-50k miles on it. Worth about $3,000

Clubs: All used clubs except the wedges (I had pro shop credit). Probably worth $2,000

PUTTERS: $1,500. Whoops.

Clubs I need to sell soon (non putters):  $650

So in total: Clubs are 138% of my car.

In your actual cost comparison you seem to indicate you traded in for the driver to cover the cost at 100% thanks to the 150% bonus - wouldn't you need to include the cost of the traded in items???

KBB for car is about $9,500. Clubs if I had to replace all of them would be in the ballpark of $2,500 - 3,000. So 30% give or take.

Although my putter is pretty much irreplaceable considering it's a model that hasn't been made in over 20 years, and I've yet to see one available to purchase that wasn't completely beat to h*** and back. I'd give someone my car keys before I gave them that putter.
