The KBS website lists the Tour Hybrid Proto shaft as a .370 parallel tip. The Ping website lists the G410 hybrid length at 40 1/4", but that particular shaft isn't listed as an available stock or upgraded option. I would consider putting in a 2018 Callaway X Forged UT, but I believe the factory shaft is a PX 6.5 with a .355 tapered tip. Any clarification on the specs for yours?

That's a good question. Let me contact my guy who built the club and I'll post the info once I have it.

So the shaft is indeed a .370 parallel tip and it was installed straight in the G410 adapter initially and briefly in a Callaway adapter. It wasn't tipped either, and my friend did say it could be used in a driving iron with a taper hosel. Hope this helps!

I appreciate the follow up! Your friend is technically right... you could remove enough material from the tip to fit the .355 bore, but I’m not sure I’d feel comfortable doing that on a shaft that’s already been pulled twice. You could also bore the hosel, but that a task. Thanks for the research though. Wish that one had worked out.

2018 Callaway X Forged UT hosel is .370 so you wouldn't have to do any special club work fwiw

You know, after a little further research, we’re actually all right. Apparently, it’s a “universal bore”, so a .370 fits snuggly, or a .355 fits with a collared ferrule. I never even considered it because I’ve never worked on the club it’s shafted with a PX 6.5 right now. I’d never seen a parallel tip PX steel shaft, so I just assumed it was a .355 tip. 
 

Also, as I stated in my first post, Golfworks had it listed as a .355 tip and I didn’t really have any reason to question it based on the information I had. It’s kind of annoying, as this should be information that’s readily available from the manufacturer in the clubs listed specs. 
 

I didn't mean to turn this into a Club Tech thread, but maybe it will help some other guys out. The worst part is, I play in a Saturday morning group and got antsy, so I pulled an X100 and installed it Friday night... 🙄
