What are you using as a gap wedge for Mizuno JPX 919 Forged 4 to PW?

I bought a set of JPX 919 forged 4 to PW off the rack last year and I'm curious what any of you forged guys are using as a gap wedge and maybe your next wedge after that? Thanks

I could see having a grind and bounce for different lies while having the same loft you are accustomed to.

I have the 919 forged gap wedge.  51 degrees I believe is the spec loft.   After that I am playing ping glide 54 wedge. I like the 919 forged gap wedge but it’s really just another iron for full to 3/4 swings for me.  Decent for chipping too.

I went with a 919 forged gap wedge.  I’ve upgraded to 921 hot metal pros but still use the 919 forged gap.  Best gw I’ve ever gamed.  After gw I use 55* & 60* Callaway MD4 wedges.

I have a JPX 900 forged 51* wedge and it is probably the best gap wedge, hell all around wedge I have ever owned.

Not only that it is just beautiful.

Playing a set of JPX 919 HMPs and the gap wedge that came with the set has been unreal good. 50 degrees is the GW and from there I go 54 and 58 in vokey sm7s. May move on from my vokey’s though, I’ve been eyeing some mizuno wedges simply because of how nice this 919 GW is to hit.

The JPX line seems to come with a really solid gap wedge.  My previous gamers were JPX 825 Pros.  I already had a 52* MP-T4 wedge, so I put the JPX gap wedge in the garage.  Eventually shipped it up north with some MX-23s to my buddy's house in NJ, so I wouldn't have to travel with my clubs.

 

I play 1-2 rounds a year in NJ.  Am still impressed by that gap wedge.  It has a great dense/solid feel and gives me the same distance, every time.  I'm better at attacking flags with it, than with the Vokeys that are in that bag...

I've been playing the 850 Forged for 5 seasons and have a set of 921 Forged ordered.  In both cases, I've gone with the set gap wedge.

Since my set didn't come with the 919 forged gap wedge, I've been looking around to add something that fits the profile and look at address of the 919.

I was using a 50 CBX as my gap but I didn't really get along with it. I guess I'll keep looking on the used sites etc. Thanks gang.

I game the 921F 4-PW and then goto Mizuno T20 50/07 satin, and then T20 56/06 raw. The 50 gaps nicely with my 921F bent to 46 degrees by my custom builder (45stock).

Vokey SM8 52.08 F grind, bent 1° strong to match the original 919F GW at 51°,  7°. Like someone else said, the 919F GW is really solid. I’d gladly play it but failed to check the box when I ordered my custom set.

I just purchased the JPX 919 Forged GW head only last week. Just finished pairing the head with a Recoil 95. Looks amazing and feels great, Hit a few foam balls in the backyard and so far love it but we'll see when I get on the course. Looking to possibly get the PW of the set to replace my hogan 46*.

I play the 921 Forged and have a RTX4 50°, 56° and 62°.  Have been considering a 46° bent to 45° to replace the PW.

Did anyone go to the 919 Tour gap wedge?

I have the 921 Forged irons and got the same in the gap wedge (50°).  I really like it a lot.  For sand and lob, I went with the 921 Hot Metal wedges in 54° and 59°.  I preferred them over all other Mizuno lines, which I was able to demo on real grass.

I have the 921 Forged 4-W and my wedges are Vokey SM8 50-08F, 54-10S, and 58-10S.

 

I had the 900 Forged previously 4-GW, but I like the Vokey 50 better for my GW as it is more versatile than the set GW.

919 Forged 4-G purchased.  I've never used the G.  I use 50*, 54*, and 58* Artisans for my wedges.  I'm seriously tempted to add a 46* Artisan and drop the 919 PW.
