It’s amazing that he’s even there. Trust me, the guy is feeling no pressure. If it’s late Sunday, sure but again he has nothing to lose with being there and near the top. 
 

I’m sure he wants to play well enough to get invited back next year but if not this week he’ll win on tour between now and the end of 2022.

Kinda wild. IIRC he was a really touted junior golfer, went to Wake and while he wasn't bad, didn't really dominate as expected. Turned pro pretty quickly and now he's lighting it up like people thought he'd do in college.

Reed left into the azaleas on 13, now walking back to re-tee.  Lateral red line. iIsn’t that area a lateral hazard (new terminology, penalty area) where he can drop where it crossed?  Never heard anyone say OB.

Yeah he won US Jr Am and didn’t have status on any tour as of 2019. He Mondayd into a KFT event and top 10d. He played his way into status that year and finish in the top 75. 2020 he went on a huge run with some of the best golf that hasn’t been talked about enough. 
 

i caddie out on the KFT and have been in his group a couple times. The guy hits his irons so damn far. One of the weirdest things is he can’t draw his driver and can’t cut his 3wood. His work with Scott Fawcett (decade) has paid off tremendously

With red you have three options; stroke+ distance, line straight back from point of crossing , or two club lengths.

 

Rules pros, step in if I’m mistaken.

Apologies if this has been asked and answered.. Let's say you "pull a Kim" and break your putter, which club do you use? For me, I'd say a #2 hybrid, but not too many pros have one of those.

Yeah but he never spent even a second looking where he might have crossed.  Maybe everything straight back from that is still dead in the weeds and an attempted punch out would be worse than a re-drive.

I'd like to see Rory go back to the driver that he used in 2019 when he won the Canadian Open and Tour Championship.  Go back to something he has confidence in, sort of like what Justin Rose has done.

 

But I bet his TaylorMade contract prohibits that.  Too bad.
