Also said he feels better as there is less Japanese media this week. 

 

 

Just seen the final round pin positions no way will anyone make a run now, literally the worst pins I've seen in a final round, has traditional ones 16, 18 etc, but the rest are ridiculous

HM probably speaks English just fine, certainly enough to get by in everyday American life. I am sure he can read English enough to order at McDonald's.  It would appear he chooses to use the translator dude for the folks watching in Japan. It eliminates any potential "gaffe" he feels might occur if he spoke English only.  Seems a pretty smart strategy.

That reminds me of when Bernhard Langer won the 1985 Masters and the commentators were querying whether he would need a translator.

 

As we all know Langer speaks English better than most people with no accent. 😂

I just don’t want to see him choke up a 4 shot lead. That would be brutal to watch. 

 

Rory went into the final round with a 4 shot lead in 2011.

I’m fine with Xander. Understand him very well without an interpreter.  Perhaps not Twitter and FB material, though.

I disagree. I think the harder it is the MORE likely hood someone gets hot and comes at him.  He will have to shoot under par to win I have no doubt.

Its never a “linear progression” to your final score at Augusta either. Always a wild ride.
 

He got a nice cushion and, as you say, one of the guys at -7 will need a great round to catch him if he keeps his head down.
