Looks like a radspeed with lead tape on the top. That would help a bit with spin putting the weight on top instead of the bottom, obviously they would have to hot melt instead of tape if it goes into play.

But would that be a prototype? Wouldn't that just be classed as a melt filled RAD lol

Obviously I have no idea, just looking at the designs on top of the head in that blurry photo LOL. but I would assume most new drivers are based off of testing and theorizing with old drivers, no? And to put more weight into the crown of the head,I would assume designing a new head/crown Would be a smart direction. He’s/the game is only getting faster

Amateur slower players need all the weight in the sole of the club with a huge face, Bryson needs a driver that’s all 👑

Yer makes perfect sense. I would expect almost a structural support that runs from the back of the driver, over the crown and into the face then along the sole to the back again to keep it rigid enough to stop the crazy flexing which obviously causes the smashed face. Be interesting to see if he puts it in play!

Pretty much no one on Cobra staff plays their recent current models with any conviction. Duffner, maybe?

They desperately need a retail head that Bryson can use since no one else on their staff moves the needle.

My gut thought is its a long drive prototype that they're probably trying to get put together for Berkshire as well.

Same thought as everyone else is saying,  probably a sturdier head to keep the cave ins down, and probably made to lower lofts that they need.

Seems like it would increase spin due to changing the vertical gear effect. While lowering launch. Hard to say what he's going for.

Bryson is a guy that is constantly fighting too much spin. Weight on the top like that would increase spin wouldnt it? Raising the vertical center of gravity like that does not make sense in my mind.. But I am sure he knows what he is doing.

Kind of looks like the new PXG driver from this pic.

You can see the RAD markings around the edges. Its just lead tape on top in that same structure as what the new PXG stuff looks like. Except this wont cost people their first born. Likely it will be a run of heads thats just made for Bryson and Berkshire.

Good catch on the Rad Speed graphics.  Hoping your first born is worth more than the $100 price difference in Cobra vs. PXG.

In an inverview with Golf.com on youtube currently, he mentions a prototype that just got added to the USGA conforming list.  I looked and only saw the RadSPeed (Version 5) in 5.5 degrees, not sure if it has already been posted here.   He says this prototype has been in development for 3 years.  Should be interesting.20210205.jpg

Just watched the same interview, interested to see what it entails.

Seems likely that they had something in the pipeline coming when they signed Berkshire... seems to make sense they’d launch it with Bryson at the masters...

toss a green shaft and white head on it, have a second special release for the masters.

Cobra has been using the t-bar speed chassis for a few generations already. The new Exotics copied it and just made it visible.

I like this set up if they left the t-bar visible.

Just curious and trying to learn -- would tape on the top make a head non conforming for play? Or just hotmelt to avoid the tape coming off and not being able to replace it mid round?

I'm fearful the CDC will step in to prevent his caddy form getting lead poisoning coming down 18 on Sunday.

Could have at least gone with Masters themed head.

Whatever it is, it's practically a super long big headed putter!

He could pull the putter from his bag and swap in like an 80* wedge for his, oh I don't know 150 yard shot, and just use a 5* driver and a little forward press on the greens....
