Traded in all my Taylor Made toys for the above after I decided I needed a change. Clubs fit and feel great! Any input on these?

Thanks to all for the great input. Once i get the time, I'll throw some pictures up of everything. Unfortunatley, it's snowy and cold here in Chicago, so these puppies will only be played in a dome unitl spring. Atleast that gives me quite a few months to get used to the set!!

You'll find the J33 irons much better than TM irons IMO unless you're coming from Firesole Forged/X-300 or 300 series irons.

 

As for the J33460. Better than the tin canny R7 and R5s. Can't speak about the Bridgestone woods but the the TM rescues ain't no big shakes but he TM 200 is a solid FW.

I have the 460CC sitting behind me right now, awaiting it's first trip to the course. It's in a box with the 21* J33 Hybrid, both of them are simply spectacular to look at. Hope they perform half as good as they look !!!!!

ME THREE.

 

Driver - I LOVE the feeling of Bridgestone (and Titleist) drivers. Much more solid, and less 'tinny' than others. Distance is comparable, feel is tremendous.

 

Woods - see driver comments.

 

Irons - I have abackup set of Bridgestone/Tourstage Z101's, and I feel they are some of the most superb irons ever made. The J33's don't disappoint - their sole design is marvelous, and they're even MORE flexible than the Z101's. I love 'em, and would not mind playing a set.

 

Wedges - My backup/rotation wedges are 56*/60* J33 wedges. As mentioned before - the sole design is phenomenal on these wedges,a nd they're very solid. A little crisp for my tastes, but good wedges nonetheless.

Bear in mind that I've played PING wedges all my golfing life, and only recently picked up the J33's. PING wedges (especially the older Zing models I used,a s well as the M/B's I also own) have a somewhat muted, very different feeling to them, than the J33's.

 

The J33's just seem to "click" off the ball more than I'm used to, that's all. They're not as buttery soft as CG10's, but the J33's have a nicer feeling to them than Vokeys, or Cleveland 588/900's, IMO. With a good soft ball (HX 56, ProV1, etc.), the J33's are magic. Great wedges, you won't be disappointed!

I have the 460 J33 and damn, the head cover looks like a boxing glove.... it 's so nasty looking that I'm using my old titleist headcovers.

Which Diamana does your 460 have?

 

The 63 gram stiff. I tried the 73 and 83 and they just felt too heavy for me. The 63 gram worked best for me. Yes it is light, but it allows me to feel the head better in the swing and really load that shaft

I used my 460 with NV on the course last night for the first time. Firstly the headcover, I think it's great. The easiest headcover to remove of any 460CC club I have used. I think it looks cool :cheesy: .

 

I hit the 9.5 with NV and the 21 hybrid around 9 holes, this driver is seriously long. I was playing on parts of the course I thought I wouldn't see again, just goes and goes. I'll hold back some enthusiasm for a couple of comp rounds first but nice first impressions. The hybrid is just as pretty and very very simple to use.

 

3 wood arrives Monday :)
