I don't have any issue holding greens with my T200s and our greens are typical fast here, especially this time of year.

Ping G400 max
Ping G410 5 wood
Ping G410 7 & 9 woods

Titleist T350 irons
54* & 58* Sub70 JB Wedges
PXG Operator H w/ BGT stability tour shaft or  SIK FLO C with LAGP shaft

I actually think this "spin" issue that youtubers talk about is nearly nonexistent for 99.99% of golfers.  Let's say golfer A hits T300 7 iron 150 yards carry, yes player A will have less spin than player B who hits T100 9 iron 150 yards.   That is common sense, more speed and more loft will produce more spin. If player A takes T100 7 iron it will go 130 yards carry with most likely more spin than his T300 7 iron, but player A is now 20 yards short.  So what good is that spin for a player A, player A will have to use a 5 iron now to get it to 150 yards which will have probably same spin as the T300 7 iron.  We are back to square one, player A will have roughly the same spin for that 150 yard shot by choosing a club that will get there.

Obviously going to be different for each player, but my guess is that player A with that 5i would likely have more spin than the 7i in the T300 just by head design alone (although it should be a 6i in the T100 for a closer loft comparison 29* vs 30*).

I can totally see people having issues holding greens if they aren't able to reach a good enough height with the lower spin club head.  A naturally low ball hitter with a low launch shaft with a lower spinning head and non premium ball, higher spinning ball is going to have issues.  But a good fitting should be able to remedy this or at least give you some numbers to think about.

I'd say no chance.  Club design has way, way less to do with spin than loft does (or rather, spin loft).   At the end of the day, club design is way more about feel (whether that's at impact, through the turf, at address) than it is about performance.  Now obviously, we're all human and all those feelings change the way we actually swing which results in performance differences.

I think it has more to do with it than you think.  The new meta is higher launch to counter the lower spin with an increased decent angle to try and stop the ball.  Pretty well every video out there has shown a decrease in spin in most categories of irons other than players.

Shaft "technology" hasn't changed that drastically given the amount that still play DG's (enter PX and other higher launching, lower spinning shafts).  I understand that balls are being made to spin less, but not so much for iron play.

I also have no idea about the thought that club design is more about 'feel' than performance,  To me, that is about as silly an idea as I've ever heard.  Designers are changing acoustics to to be more pleasing, but certainly not even marginally thinking that is a priority over performance.

I play T100s 5-PW and a T200 4 iron. The 4 iron is one of the easiest clubs to launch in my bag. They’re slightly stronger lofted than a traditional players set so when compared to that they probably spin less. I think T200 is a good fit for someone who has a little club speed but needs a little extra help. I could see a slower speed player not getting enough spin with them.
