Great price for the balls but they are not the newest generation. Srixon just released the new Z-star line earlier this year. Side stamps are different on the Ammo Boxes versus the new generation.

it says 6th generation with 4th Gen skin. They have the prior Gen Ammo also. If that isn’t the current generation than oh well, still a good deal.

The new 2021 Z-Star balls are the 7th generation with 5th Generation spin skin. And again I agree with you it's still a great deal for the previous generation. Especially fans of the yellow golf balls.

Thanks, I did run the same search, prior to me.posting, and did see these that you linked....but OP was saying the deal he saw was for 6th gen balls, I only see 3rd and 4th gen in the practice balls

Based on the side stamp and SeRM reference, the link above appears to be the 2019 version which was the 6th gen ZStar and 4th gen spin skin (looks like they are referencing the spin skin generation in the title).

Now this 3rd gen sku has a pic of the 2015 side stamp which was the 4th gen/2nd gen spin skin and references both 324 and 338 dimples so who knows what those are.

I am not sure I would trust the pic or the description haha

 

I bought based on the description and if they show up and are not 6th Gen with 4th Gen skin than that stinks but for that price I am not going to be a wad about it, as long as they are new.

Low confidence in that 2nd sku for sure 🙂

 

 

Definitely a good deal but I already have 5-6 dozen 2017/2019 Z Stars to hold me over for the next couple of seasons and not really a big fan of yellow. Most epic deal I scored was Walmart clearing out the 2013/3rd gen a few years ago for $7 / dozen.

Balls showed up today. It was fairly clear why they were marked practice as the color was off. They contained a great deal of “pink” tint in the outer layer, it is as though their reflective coating wasn’t fully mixed.

They are usually pretty close to the finished product with very few of any noticeable differences. Supposed to hear they have a pink tint but thanks for sharing.

This one was on the low end of pink coating. Some had it in every dimple. Others had it on the ‘rim’ of the simple (dimple was only part without pink). Some were spots like this. Others were larger sections similar to this.

These are showing up on ebay in 6 dozen lots!  That's a LOT of golf balls.  Anyone buy these previously and have feedback, beyond some finish blemishes?  Yellow Z Stars are my favorite balls, so while I don't need more balls per say, I'm a deal ho.  

 

BTW, I have no idea how this came into my Amazon feed, but once seeing this thing I just had to buy it!

No issues for me besides some orange-ish finish. Can’t beat the deal if you prefer yellow

The finishes/color are sometimes not completely uniform but did not affect play at all.  Great deal if you like the ball.  The practice stamp is a bit large.
