Pre-booking/Availability of Replay rounds?

A buddy and I are planning our Sandhills Golf trip for mid August.  I reached out to Mid-Pines and Tobacco Road, and neither of them allow me to pre-book a "replay round".  Which isn't all that surprising, although several of our usual destinations do allow it (As well as Bandon, and I believe Streamsong... but that's for a different thread).

At any case, in a Mid-August weekend, what are my odds of getting a replay rounds at Mid-Pines and Tobacco Road?  Planning an 8:00-8:30am first round, a lunch/stretch/change break, and a 2:30ish 2nd tee time.  I have played TR 3 times, once was a 5.25 hour round with seemingly nobody out pushing pace of play.  Hoping that doesn't happen, but you never know.

We are looking at flying into Charlotte and playing a round of golf with my a family member, then heading to Pinehurst.  Hoping to play Mid-Pines (maybe a replay) on Friday, Tobacco Road twice Saturday, and then a mid-level course Sunday, with the Cradle that evening.  Is the Cradle terribly difficult to get on for non-resort-guests?  I know we are only allowed 24 hour booking window.

If we don't get a replay at mid-pines, what are the odds of getting on somewhere else near by for an okay price?  Would No 1, No 3, or No 5 be able to get on same day?  Would they be worth it over other courses other than just to say you  played at Pinehurst?

For Sunday looking at MidSouth (Through TR Travel), Legacy, Carolina Trace, Pinehurst #3 or Talamore right now, haven't decided yet.  Need a "mid-level" course to finish the weekend.

We'd fly home on Monday.

I am familiar with Myrtle Beach, not Pinehurst, but the 2 locations have
basically the same peak periods.

If you gotta replay a certain course and want to control your pace to
starting the replay, book it at the regular rate.   But if booking at the
standard rate, it might be better to book a different course for variety.

I would think in the summer or winter, that they don't sell out, unless
its PH #2.   If the courses you are interested in have online tee times,
monitor that to see how busy they are.    Also see if the replay rate
is much lower than regular PM rate.   It also makes a difference to
get availability if your are a 2-4some or group of 20.

Booking some of our rounds and just saw this on Tobacco Road's website:

Disclaimer:  I agree and understand my credit card is being billed at the time of booking this reservation. I ALSO AGREE MY RESERVATION CAN ONLY BE RESCHEULDED FOR A LATER DATE, NOT CANCELLED.  NO REFUNDS OR RAINCHECKS WILL BE ISSUED FOR THIS RESERVATION.
Closure of the golf course due to winter conditions (snow and ice), including green tarp removal, will be the only reason for a full refund.
I agree to and understand weather conditions can restrict golf carts to the cart paths.  I agree to no rain checks or refunds will be issued when such conditions exist.

So if there is lightning and/or an absolute downpour, I will not get a refund or a raincheck?  I'll have to reschedule...  Maybe I could try and re-sell my rescheduled tee-time at a discount to someone I suppose.

I would think that if you are on site and it rains you will get a rain check based on current green fees to be used within X number of years. Maybe call to confirm.
