2 or 3 day golf school

My wife and I would like to find a golf school/ academy for a few days this July. Does anyone have any recommendations?
  We live in Florida but ideally would like something up north (cooler weather) and make a vacation out of it. Thanks Ron

I would love to get a lesson with him . I checked his schedule and none of the clinics work for our time frame.  Ive bought his videos and they are very helpful especially the no turn cast video.

For pure golf and value, Boyne Mountain near Traverse City in Michigan is tops on my list. They have a week long golf package can't be beat.

So, my employer has a reward program that I could use to pay for golf school (or any "dream" I have), but I'm worried that my golf game isn't good enough to make it worth my while.  Thoughts?  Should I take some lessons first? 

 

FWIW, I generally shoot in the 90s, mostly because I cannot seem to straighten out the driver and end up with too many penalty strokes off the tee.

With all due respect and not sounding like a broken record  - you are the made to order student for Monte's fun and games three day clinic.

OP, it really depends on not only your skill level (as pointed out above) but your preferences for swing methodology. My point is that a three-day school is a big investment, and if you go then to get the most out of it you'll need to continue to practice the techniques your were taught. So you'd want a School that teaches a "style" that is taught by instructors near where you live, or that has a video presence with online lessons. For example, Todd Graves is giving a 3-day school up in Connecticut in July, but you'll only get something out of it if you want to adopt his methodology; i.e. single-plane. 

 

Of course, if your intention is to take a vacation and maybe pick up some "generic" pointers then fine. I have not visited the Graves School before (I AM going in July) so I can't give you an evaluation, except I have heard they do a pretty hard sell on training aids, and I would assume you can privately contract for extra lessons with one of their pros.

How much u want to spend ?? More fun or learn the game ??
