New Driver Alert TSi4 Fuji Evo VII

Just finished a fitting. Going with Titleist TSi4 with a Fujikura Speeder 661 Evolution VII in X flex. 65g. Swing Weight D4. 
 

Had started in the same shaft with a Ping LST but didn’t like the undetectability of contact on shots missed to the left. 

 

Popped the TSi4 on and was consistently straighter (and slightly longer) than the LST. 

The Trackman numbers in the photo were for one swing with the TSi4 but are pretty representative of my average with the setup. Touched 340 on a couple swings. 
 

What I love:

- The shaft let’s you feel the head while still delivering a loaded feel. 
- The head/face is so incredibly hot. I’ve been playing Titleist drivers since 2007 and while I’ve tested others none have come close to the feel/sound that I get from them. 
 

What I am iffy about: 

- Smaller head is going to take some getting used to, especially on a course setting.

That's one swing. Where was spin in other swings...consistently in the 2000 range or higher? If your avg spin is around 2000 then you're flirting with disaster in that setup...

Not sure how I am flirting with disaster because I've had the driver now for a couple of months and it's been incredible. I am an incredibly high-spin player, so 1850-2100 is literally the lowest I can achieve without dramatically altering my swing. I'm hitting the ball further than I've ever hit it with this setup and the TSi4 is a revelation for my game. It's incredibly consistent and fair. I am very happy with it.

The Flirting with disaster comment was centered around that 2080 spin number. You start dipping below that, consistently, and you start to encroach on low spin duckers or tumblers....balls that fall out of the sky while heading offline.

If I hit a duck hook it's not because of the setup, it's because of a poor transition. The biggest change with this setup over my previous is how much smaller my miss window is. I wanted a setup that could keep the ball in play more consistently because length (on all shots) is the one advantage I have on the golf course so I need to take advantage as much as I can.
