Ping 425 LST

Any real average Joe's with around 90 swing speed playing the Ping G425 LST driver? I just picked one up at a very good deal so I'm going to test it against my 425 Max. Seems to me the 425 max playing it at 10.5 with the stock Alta CB slate R flex shaft goes high in the air with no roll. I'm looking for a more mid flight with more roll. I also picked up a Ventus Velecore Red 5R2 shaft to pair with it. Let me know your thoughts.

I haven’t tried the 425, but tried the 410 LST with a Ventus Red 6S that was a pretty good combo. I tried the blue in the same session and it launched way too low for me. I think a 5S would have been perfect, but they did not have any in their fitting cart at the time.

 

The R2 shaft you got I know would be a little soft for my preference based on the 6R blue I had previously in a different driver. My SS is avg 94. But since you already have it hopefully it works out!

Thanks for the info. I actually tried both the 425 and 425 LST with the Ventura. I decided to go with the regular 425 head. It was more forgiving and with the Ventus I’m able to keep the spin down.

Moved from 400 LST 10* to 425 Max 9*....could not be happier

I'm 87-90 SS and just got fitted at CC for the 425 LST 10.5 w/ Oban Devotion 6 stiff.

I have a neutral AOA+/- 2*.

Toss up between the LST and Titleist TSi2 with close to same #'s, 2500-2700rpm.

Dispersion was a little tighter with the Ping, distance same per Trackman

Got fit into a G425 LST with Tensi orange x-flex this year love it hitting bombs off the tee. Minus those days when the swing is off. But no driver is going to fix that.

Hit my friends G425 LST instead of my Sim 2. Absolute straight bombs. Haven't hit shots that straight in a long time. On top of that it was a windy day. I bought the same driver one week later. 😃

Currently playing the G410 LST 10.5 head with the Alta CB 55 Red Stiff shaft at 45 3/4”.  I am generally very accurate with it but feel that my distance is not where it should be. Swing speed is right around 100 MPH.  Have been considering a shaft fitting.  Would like to try something like a VA Composites Nemesys.  Anyone using this shaft?  Curious about whether it plays true to its stiffness rating or if it plays stiffer or softer?

After several months I'm liking, but not loving the 425 LST.

I'm currently experimenting with a Riptide CB 60 5.5 and comparing to the Devotion 6 that I was fit to.

The Riptide launches higher for sure, but until I can get on a monitor I wont know about spin rates.

My real issue, I think, is the sound/ feel of this head compared to my G400 (which I still have). The 425 just feels "hard".
