Just got my Bridgestone j15cb heads back from the strippers and they are bare metal. Do i assemble these the same as normal clubs?? And also any way to make them rust faster? Anything i need to be cautious about or any upkeep??

You might want to consider adding tip weights to bring swing weight up. You will have lost a few grams of weight in the stripping process.

I would have measured the headweights prior to stripping them and after to know the weight reduction, but you probably want to add a few grams. To rust faster wrap the heads in a damp towel or soak them in Coca Cola.

Yep, use water or Coca Cola, they’ll rust in no time. You just might get an “uneven” or too much of a rust pattern depending on how aggressive you are

Thanks, do i soak the whole club in a bath of it or wrap a paper towel that was soaked in coke? or either? Also, if it rusts too much do i just rub down with a brillo pad or scotch brite?

I’d just start off steady and then you can adjust as needed. Wrapping in a towel that’s a little damp will have them rusting in no time

Not trying to be a troll I swear - but are you concerned with making them rust faster, or are you worried about upkeep?

 

I play with raw wedges and a carbon steel putter and my suggestion would be to wipe them down with a silicone cloth after playing. I would not intentionally rust clubs.

I always used a bowl and just let them soak for several hours.

@Jackrwesty Could you post a pic of the irons?  Curious to see how they turned out raw.

Got them a week ago and this is how they look one week just sitting in my room. Maybe I'll just assemble and let rust naturally, I dont think itll take long?

I'd hit them with some silicone spray and be patient.

 

The reason I prefer it is that they will eventually rust, but not excessively. I prefer the patina look, but I prefer my hands not turn orange when I pull my clubs out of the bag.

Here is a look at one of my current rusty sets after four rounds this season in wet conditions (dewy and even a light mist of rain). I wipe the heads after after shot. I have achieved different patina under a different set of circumstances. 
 

Normally I apply Eezox, Putter Butter or use a Sentry Solutions Marine Tuf cloth to keep the heads a satin finish. They are set for a rub down with 1000 grit steel wool and some oil. Will be restored to their original state when I choose to invest some elbow grease. A proper treatment will usually last a few rounds before I have to reapply some oil.

Nah. 
 

they look kinda cool. Had some raw apex mb. They looked great.

 

but you know what looks cooler? Dime sized wear spots in the Center of your irons. Way cooler!

I have raw wedges and now I use steel wool and baby oil every once in a while to keep them fresh. You want the dark brown patina and rust not the bright orange that will ruin your towel
