Best Deal in Equipment

Post what you think is the best deal in equipment.

My vote goes to the Cobra Radspeed Fairway; retails for $279.  The Fujikura Motore X F3 stock shaft is new for 2020 and retails for $275.  I emailed Cobra and they confirmed it is the real deal.

I recently was fitted for this shaft at Club Champion in regular flex for my TS2 3w and it is unbelievable.  As consistent and fast as Oban, LA Golf, and a few other high end shafts that were in my top selections for my 85 mph club head speed.

That's pretty damn good. I went with Mizuno's new ST-z for my new 5 wood. They also offer Motore F3's at no upcharge. The Motore shaft is smooth yet so stable and has helped eliminate my left side miss (I'm RH).

Srixon whenever they have BOGO for the Z Star is an absurd deal.

Kirkland golf balls are basically a $1 a ball for a urethane ball... I think 2nd place would be a cut ball for $2 a ball? In terms of value that’s pretty high up there...

im guessing you can’t flip the shaft out of a cobra that easily, but maybe im wrong?

buy one at 46 inches, sell the shaft and it’s a mostly free three wood.

I love the Motore X F3 shaft. I’m playing it in my Radspeed XB driver and ST-Z 3-wood, which I’m using at 17* and really more like a 4-wood. Really appreciate Cobra and Mizuno offering it as a stock option.

2 seasons ago I got a Wilson D300 driver on end of season closeout for $99.95 in plastic. A driver with a tour win, it should be added.

Best deal I ever got anyway

I'm surprised someone was able to win on tour with the plastic still on😉 but the tour pros have preternatural hand-eye coordination to begin with, so anything is possible with them.  Good price for a used club😆

Or go the other way, and keep the shaft and flip the head, which is what I’m going to end up doing with the rad speed xb I just got.  The entire club is a great value, but just wasn’t quite right for me...

Buy once, cry once is my value proposition. Lost track of how many times I’ve cut corners on something or bought “almost as good,” only to end up buying what I really wanted later on.

I think this is a good philosophy for anything you are going to have to live with.

You can definitely find some deals in golf, but it’s worth doing things “right” most of the time! I love my sub70 stuff because I can easily customize the stuff that’s important to me (length, shaft and grip) while getting a good deal on a club. They don’t have the tech other companies have, but for wedges, irons and hybrids, I’m not looking for bleeding edge stuff...

I also don’t play Kirkland balls despite them being so cheap. I have more fun playing balls that better suit my game, even at double the cost.
