What’s the purpose of your fairway wood. Is it a tee club only or dual purpose?   what lofts are you gaming?

My M1 5 wood is 17* and is awesome both off the tee and off the deck. Just like my hybrid, I tee it very low almost like off the deck.

I only have 1 fw, 17.5 loft. Hit it about 230 both off the tee and on the fairway, gives a nice ~15 yard gap with my 3i and it's long enough that I can use it on shorter/narrow par 4s without having to worry about my 2nd shot being too far out. Ping makes some amazing fairway woods that are absolutely brain dead easy to hit.

I either bag a 14.5-15* 3w along with a traditional 5w where the 3w is primarily a right to left tee club, or I just bag a strong 5w/4w which is multipurpose.

15 deg TSi3 playing at 14.25 deg. Tee shots on par 4s basically the only time I use it. Maybe the rare longer par 5s. Thinking about getting 13.5 deg head instead though to get the flight down some more. They go so far these days so probably shouldn't.

I just bought a Epic Flash 3 wood and play it at 42.75" The first "normal" depth 3 wood I have been able to play off our tight fairways..  BTW  I bought an 8 gram weight to replace the 5 gram.  I also have a 5 wood  but only carry one at a time as I utilize a  20* 2016 Apex hybrid... All Three off deck or tee.

15 degree Epic Flash sub zero fairway wood.

Great off the tee, surprisingly easy to hit from the deck. Finding the right weight combo in the front and back ports makes a huge difference.

I would love a 2 wood... I’ve tried both a “tour” 13 degree 3 wood and recently built a short 12 degree driver... neither have really solved my problem and have separate issues.

At my home course, I can’t hit 3 wood into the par fives, so it doesn’t have much value for me Off the deck...

but a 12 degree driver isn’t built to be low spin, so I end up backing up balls in the fairway... I like the balls hitting and stopping, but spin is spin, so side spin moves the ball a ton and it’s easy for me to hit pop ups...

plan is to get a deep faced 3 wood and pair it with the right shaft... we will see what happens.

4W = 16.5° and 7W = 21°. I play them off the fairway, out of the rough, and on occasion off the tee. Also good for longish par 3 holes.

I'm pretty accurate with my driver. So, I use the fairways for tee shots mostly when a driver's distance would run through the landing area.
