Great win by Lydia she curb stomped the field.  She's playing really well right now she could go on a little run.  I really appreciate what Lydia has done she went pretty deep into the wilderness and

The first time I went to an LPGA event I got there at 7 am to watch a superstar group of Lydia, Minjee and Ha Na Jang. Minjee strode around like a boss, Ha Na revved up the gallery, trying to persuade them that she was the real star of the grouping, and Lydia...well Lydia gazed upward watching clouds float by.

Did she offer you any fruit or a snack? Yeah, at times she seems like she's in another world out there. I remember her first two wins at the back to back CP Opens. Here's this young amateur strolling down the 18th fairway about to become the youngest winner on the LPGA with not a care in the world.

When are we going to see Ko v Ko next?

(Ko Jin Young 😀)

Jin Young and Lydia are both listed on the tournament entry sheet for next week's event in LA.

As stated ad nauseum, Lydia's last 5 rounds have been off the charts. However, rounds before that weren't all that bad either. She has one round over par for the season, the first round at the Kia. She now has 20 rounds for the year with 16 of them under par. She has a win, a 2nd, a 2T, and a 26T. Going back to last season's ANA in September she's carded another four top 10's in 7 events.

Can't say she's been flying under the radar, but her comeback has been staring us in the face. I guess the adage is true that a player isn't really back until they notch a win.

Very nice week for Rose. She tied for 33rd along with Danielle, Stacy, Hinako, and Ally. Her game seems to stack up pretty well. I just can't see her spending 4 years at Stanford.

Good to see Na Yeon make the cut, and have a decent finish (T41). She was one of my favorites ten years ago.

Does anyone feel the course yesterday was a bit too short for most of these girls? I mean most of the Par 4s I saw them hitting ito they only had a wedge for their second shots. The roll they were getting plus the fact they can carry it pretty far too sort of rendered this course defenseless. There were alot of 63s and -20 scores.

It's a resort course, I don't think the length was as big of an influence on scores as the width of fairways and lack of real rough.

I think it was playing 63-6400yrds or so.

These women are just that good.

The setup for the final round was at 6,374 yards. Keep in mind that it's at sea level. The third round was very short, but 6300+ is OK. I don't think it was the length that led to the low scores as much as the lack of danger off the tee, and the firm conditions. Nelly averaged 319 off the tee in the third round. Lydia averaged 281.

As noted it's a resort course with very generous fairways, and a player has to be really wild to find a fairway bunker. The rough didn't look at all punishing. 'Not a lot different than Thornberry Creek where Sei Young shot -31.

Dang, Inbee cost me money with that round yesterday or more to the point Nelly did lol I had Nelly and Inbee in a match up bet, with Nelly to win and they tied.  Perhaps it was my fault for using the site with ties as an option, cause if they tie you lose lol  The other site I use is just win- lose and if they tie you get your money back.  I figured Ally Ewing over Moriya could result in a tie, so I bet that match-up there and then became a no-brainer when Moriya missed the cut, at least once or twice a season I lose with a tie, I'd rather be wrong and lose by 20 strokes lol

Lydia is back to awesome.............Congrats to A Lim, my rookie showed up! However, my original pick Matilda was just a step behind at T12. Wonder where/if she'll play next week. If I'm not mistaken, had she done one shot better and in the top 10, she would have made the LA field? Or maybe that's just for Monday qualifiers.🇫🇮

I had the pleasure to met Lydia back when she was with Callaway and a good bit younger but she was a delightful person, even talking with a stranger not in the business she was very nice and chatted for a bit before being wisked away for photos.

So happy to see her win again and she sure seems to be in a great place attitude wise.

No snacks for me from Mrs Ko via Lydia. I got into an exchange of banter with Ha Na though. It was surprising to me, as I would never seek that.

Lydia has experienced so much in her young life.   So much joy, success, and yes, pain.

It's hard for me not to see the pain in her eyes when she's on camera.   As if she's been wounded, and she's not forgetting it.    But she grapples with it, and beats it.   Mostly.

Life is hard.   Even to the top players on the LPGA.

Did you see those pale green grips Lydia was using on the irons?  Lovely, i thought.

What brand, any idea?

https://www.iomicusa.com/home

Seems like Lydia on her irons at the Lotte was using the Iomic Sticky 1.8 green Camo grips.

In the banner in the above link, Iomic seems to also verify it.

It also seems to indicate that Hideki won the Masters with the X-GRIP 2.3

NYC is still a favorite! Good to see her making cuts, hopefully she'll keep it up in LA.
