Depends on how tacky you like.  The Microperf grip is the tackiest in the Best Grips lineup.  They have a couple other options that are a bit less tacky.

 

Also, if you use grips with added tape layers to build them up a bit, Best Grips tend to be a slightly larger, with less taper; their standard size would suit you.  Its due to something they call "Pro Taper."  If you like standard size Lamkin or Pure Grips, the undersized versions might be your choice.  I went with undersize for my test grips on that advice, it turned out to be a good choice.

i have big hands so I play a midsize grip for the most part

Another leather option is GripMaster grips.  I'm choosing to go with GripMaster, and with the Roo grip, their tackiest.

Definitely.  When I was testing the Roo grip, I played in a drizzle for two or three holes.  My ability to grip the club (sw) that had the Roo was improved in the light rain.

 

Because the leather grips are expensive, I'd recommend testing with one or two to start.

+1 for the Gripmaster Roo grip. They get tackier the more they get wet.  That said, if they ever feel like they are getting a little slick from dirt/grime build up then simply take a damp towel to them and let them dry for a few minutes.  The tackiness will return to normal.

Too soon to tell because I only started to use one this season and I've barely begun to play (5, 9 hole games).

 

It won't help a whit with putting and chipping, but I'm selecting the correct club more often now due to knowing how far I actually hit things.  The potential is there to have a positive impact on scoring. 

 

Certainly makes a difference on par 3's when the tees and pins are in non traditional places.  I hit three greens off the tee today on par 3's hitting clubs I wouldn't normally choose on those holes due to odd yardages.  Doubt I would have clubbed as aggressively without the benefit of the GPS.

the idea of these grips is growing on me.....i have never regripped my own clubs so i am curious if i can get these regriped at a big box store????

You would need to first buy the Gripmaster Roo grips online (Golfworks or Golf Shafts America) and then take them to your local "big box store" and have them installed.

Try an E Major Tuning - EBEG#BE - (E Minor - EBEGBE - if you're brave) for your guitar.

Grip wise, also check out Jumbomax. I put the JMX Ultralight XS (which is still equal to about Jumbo size in regular grips, and really like them.

I picked up the bag today and just did the club transfer. Here' the report so far.

 

Pros:

- It's smaller/lighter than my old bag, an UnderArmour carry.

- The strap system and carry location seems to be pretty good after putting everything in an getting it balanced.

- The legs seem to work pretty well. Will have to see on uneven ground.

- I like the velour padding on the top of the dividers. It will hopefully last longer than the mesh stuff.

- All the pockets (save one, see cons) are well sized.

 

Cons:

- The "accessory" pocket which is on the same side as the long garment pocket is kind of useless. It's kind of hard to get into and doesn't open very wide because of the mag closure. I've got the wrench and sunscreen in there for now.

 

We'll see how it fares on the course over the weekend.
