Wife kept getting pestered for Christmas ideas for me. I'm impossible to buy for. As either already own what I want. Or anything I haven't bought yet is too expensive to ask for. 

 

So I figured it'd be a good opportunity to try some other balls. Current gamer is the Maxfli Tour X. So I put the normal Tour on my list, along with the Vice Pro and Pro+. 

I really love the Tour X. Great performance and durability. But it won't hurt to try some others in that same price point to see if they can overtake the X.

Hi. I just read your post. I played the RXS almost exclusively the last 4 to 5 months of the season. I love the high launch and feel off the driver and found myself hitting higher iron shots also. 
 

My only complaints would include finding the ball spinning too much on uphill drives into at least a 20 mph wind and feeling too soft off the putter. FYI my “perfect feeling” ball to putt would be the Titleist Pro V1. 
 

Can you tell me about the comparisons you found between the RSX and the RX and XS? My Bridgestone journey started earlier in the year when I found an XS Tiger ball on the course. I could not believe how soft that ball felt.

I have moved on to the Wilson Triad and the Vice Pro

The Vice I got on the Black Friday Sale and I am really liking this ball

I am not sure it will unseat the Triad but it is still early in the decision process

Keeping in mind that my ball striking is not anywhere near super consistent, I can at least say if you really like putting the Pro V1, you may prefer the XS out of the 3. 

 

I tend to use my 3W a lot more often than my driver on the local courses I play and I didn't notice a huge distance difference between the 3 off the tee.  Although I have no absolute proof, it did seem like my short iron and wedge shots had a lower trajectory with the XS vs either the RX or RXS, which I guess is to be expected.  I'm not steep at all with my wedges, yet I regularly spin back shots with the RXS while the XS tends to hop-and-stick. 

 

It mainly boiled down to my preferring the softer feel of the RXS.  I liked the XS and, to me, it reacted closer to the MTB for my game, but I just went with the softer ball.

I would stop there. Goes beyond golf stuff. I have about 7 dozen Duo Pro yellow which is about a 3-4 year supply. I don't go through many balls.

ProV1x and BXS. Very similar performance, but the BXS is noticeably softer...playing i59s, a softer ball sounds a little less harsh off the face.

Pro V1x or left dash. I bought the left dash by accident and it turned out to work very well for me which is odd as I am a low spin kind of guy. I actually felt is spun more than the pro v1x on short game shots for some reason.

CSX LS and CSX have been the standouts in 22.  I tested many balls and landed on those two with CSX having the edge.  Looking forward to testing the new Pro V1's up against the Cally balls.

Chrome Soft X is the clear winner for best ball. 

Have a few dozen Srixon XV, TP5X PIX and 2021 Pro V1x left over from testing that switch into the #2 spot. In winter, it'll be something much softer like a Pro V1 or BXS
