Has anyone else heard July release/pre order with an August ship date?

This is not a thing. Unless there is a some kind of special release Titleist is releasing their next iron line on the normal schedule. As far as hollow body. The concept line has hollow body irons. Maybe that is what he is talking about. I dunno... But, straight from Titleist, normal schedule.

So what would be the normal schedule?

I hope so. I love the T-MB’s. Had the 716’s and the 718’s. After I got rid of the 718’s I immediately regretted it and just found another set and had my first round with them today. I love these irons. People say the feel is not good but I have a set of mizuno hmb that I’m selling and the T-MB’s feel just as good to me.

I was fitted a few weeks ago by the biggest Titleist fitter in my state to replace my AP2 712s I’ve had for 10 years, he said that Titleist irons would be released in early summer and to hold off on buying if that’s something I’d want to see before I order.

I guess we’ll see in due time since everybody has heard a little bit of everything.

No, it is not a fully hollow club. Only the lower portion of the head is hollow and there is still a visible cavity. To me, they remind me of the early AP2's where the head was hollow but filled with an elastomer. From the one photo I have seen, it isn't a radicle departure from previous versions.

Yeah, it was the Callaway hollow irons being referenced above and I was referring specifically to the new Apex Pros, which I own in 5-7, but I’ve hit others that clack — Cobra Forged Tec, for example. And I’ve hit some that don’t - MP18 Fli-Hi and Hogan PTX Pro. You get used to it and the Apex Pros perform really well. I guess I’d say I get some very satisfying clacks, it kind of grows on you, but it’s not as nice as a solid head’s sound IMO. TMBs? I just didn’t love the impact feel. They didn’t clack, they sound better than Apex Pros, but I didn’t think they felt as nice as an MP head, or an elastomer-backed cast Ping i210.

Titleist kind of had to do this to match competitors but if they’re smart, and they are, they’ll keep a head like the current T100. Think about this: Callaway has a line of irons out in which none of their PGA Tour staff play the newest Apex Pros. One of them Kevin Kisner, plays the model from 7 years ago. I’m not one to play what the pros play — unless it’s an LPGA player perhaps — but I find that interesting.

Lots of LPGA players are in the new Apex Pro.  But, youre right about PGA.  Not one that i know of...save a long iron here or there.

Don't read too much into this hollow thing.  I don't believe this to be 'wholesale' changes to the design.  I think they are just covering up more of what is already there.  My guess is that it is mostly cosmetic.

...but then what do I know!?!

Exactly. The T100 was a bit busy in the cavity IMO. These are a much simpler design.

I can’t stand the feel of the hallow body irons. I have been working on my game and am looking for a forged set of irons next season. Currently gaming srixon 785. I want something one piece forged. They feel 10000 percent better then the hallow body irons.

What hollow body irons have you hit?  I would like to understand what you are feeling that is so bad.

From what was said before, it does not sound like these will be “hollow body” irons filled with foam. It sounds like they will be what we have played before but with a “covering” over the technology so that it looks smooth in tha back instead of bars and multiple materials visible.  For those that have seen and maybe hit them already, is this going down the right track?

I will also pile on saying that the hollow body irons feel “off” and a little clanky to me. Although, I LOVE my U500.  I tinkered with multiple shafts thinking I needed something different than my standard shaft (AD-DI graphite, Project X LZ, etc.), but on a whim, I put my standard DG in and it is just a straight laser!!

That's not saying much unfortunately. HMB was... disappointing

Am i the only person that thinks the T100 and T100S look better than the TMB and The AP2 line? I really like the dual materials on the back.

I’m replacing my AP2 712s soon. I almost picked up a set of 718s, but my opinion of the T100 changed drastically after seeing them in person. The finish and head shapes are awesome, and the view at setup is way better than my AP2s!

I’m holding out to see the new gen since we should get some info in a few weeks at Torrey.
