Next Generation T100S -- Hollow Body

Exactly. The T100 was a bit busy in the cavity IMO. These are a much simpler design.

I had no idea the cosmetics of the cavity were unfavorable to some folks.

Personally I think my T100 is one of the best looking irons Titleist has come out with recently. 714 AP2 was an awesome package, 716 looked a bit weird to me, and 718 wasn't bad at all but the T100 heads are something else completely IMO.

That being said, if they've improved/cleaned up the next generation, I'm sure they'll still look amazing.

Assuming the cavity clean-up will be similar to the Apex Pro '19 vs '21?

Apex Pro 19 felt like a forged iron to me. Apex Pro 21 feels like a hollow body to me. I don't think they just covered up the cavity area like people are saying for the T100 replacement.

Oh yeah great point. '21 vs '19 feel-wise is clearly a completely different iron.

Should have specified, I meant from a visual standpoint. Apex Pro '19 looks like a traditional forged cavity, Apex Pro '21 looks like a modern hollow body. Assuming Titleist may do something similarly cosmetically.

Everything is in play when I buy a golf club. Performance, feel, looks all have their part in the process. It isn’t the main thing but it’s certainly something I consider.

No for sure! I'm the same way, almost to a fault. Should have seen me when the P7MC launched, and the subsequent meteoric plunge my game took after buying them.

To each his own I suppose, love everything about the T100!

I also owned the P-7MC for a bit. They were awesome but my swing wasn’t in a very good spot at the time so I bailed on them as well. The best player at my club who’s a +2/3 games them.

Yeah I like the look of the 21 Apex and the performance seems to be outstanding. But I just hate that the extra cosmetic flourish came at the expense of the feel of the club! No free lunch I guess...

Me as well and I wouldn’t trust the opinion of anybody who says they’re forgiving. My Apex MB are a good measure more playable IMO. Essentially no advantage over a blade in the long irons to me.

If they cleaned up the cavity on the T100 a bit I do genuinely think it could be up there in the top few irons ever made. They’re stupid forgiving for what they look like by the ball.

Assuming the T100 looks like the T100s I saw, you're going to be happy. The cavity looks a million times cleaner.

Can't wait to see these and then agonize over a T100 vs. i59 decision. Or maybe in true WRX fashion just get both...

I think it’ll be hard to top the i59 aesthetically but if they roll out a T series iron that looks like a 620MB on the exterior package I’ll call my club builder within minutes 🤣

They could have just left the cavity like this and it would have looked amazing.

I saw this on the Titleist forum from an Admin

"I can’t say for sure but don’t be surprised if the T100 is released first and the T100s a bit later like before or based on T100s sales, maybe they stick with just the three models. I do not have any intel, just a guess as the T100s was a special add last time."

Possibly the CB line goes away? this is the lowest selling model in thier lineup

Why would titleist take their best selling iron and make it a hollow body when they have that in the lineup already??? I dont get it....te T100-S has only been out a year so its not even up for recycle yet.....what am i missing? please help a fool understand

The way I understand this is that Titleist is not overhauling the T100/s.  They are not making a new hollow body iron and naming it T100s.  And I would love for them to bring us a new hollow body T-MB replacement.  All they are doing is covering up the "muscle" portion of what is already there.  Essentially just cosmetic changes to what they already have.

...but, again, what do I know

I understand it the same way. It is not a foam-filled hollow body, just a covering over the "busy-ness".

This is out of the ordinary for Titleist to cover up a busy back to a club and call it a new model.  There has to be more to it.    I wonder if weighting was moved around or some other small change took place.

@tsecor how do you like the T100-S so far?  Mine are still not in production and the date keeps getting changed. Despite multiple calls to Titleist. Likely going to have to cancel the order at this point.

Are you actually getting them to answer the phone or return emails? I've had an order in since early April and I can't seem to get any responses!
