Why is that so important ?? Get a pxg advanced tech putter for 295

I have used a White Hot insert for nearly 20 years (since the original 2Ball was released and I found myself using the odd looking putter).  I have tried many other brands of putters and various inserts and always end up coming back to a putter with a White Hot insert.

So that would be why it is so important to me.

May not be important to you if you have no attachment to a White Hot insert, the Microhinge insert is very good but not what I prefer.

I still try various other putters every season, just to see if I can find magic with another flatstick, but so far, I keep going back to my Odyssey V-Line now and it had previously been many years of going back to an original 2Ball.

PXG offers something not far from this (other than choice of insert).  Personally I think their putters are the best club they make and am surprised more people don’t use them!!

I agree they do make great putters.. the one and done is on my list to try.

The white hot insert is a feel that is unique. And I’m saying that having just shipped off a pxg blackjack.  So I know that they don’t feel anything like the white hot.  Not bad. Just different

Um...what his putting is has nothing to do with us....guys on champions tour use putters 8 years old and some win with putters from goldsmith.

Missed the point....why make a Rahm model to drive sales if his stats don't support being a decent putter?  Did you mean...Golfsmith?  What does 8 years old have to do with it?  Sneds and Stricker don't change because they are excellent putter.  Cam Smith could make putts with butter on a stick.

Because golfers that aren't mouth breathing idiots want a version of a 2 ball that has a white hot insert. I don't care who/what it's named after. Nobody cares what his strokes gained is. They just want the white hot insert.

Have not tried a DIY White Hot as the ones I have seen always have some cosmetic issue.

There was one for sale on the BST a while back but there were some issues with the insert toe side.

I have seen “Tour Issue” 2Ball Tens with the White Hot insert on eBay but they have all been north of $1k.

I’m looking for $500 at most.

I expect that Odyssey will release a 2Ball Ten with the White Hot insert eventually as a limited release and then follow that up with an OG retail release.

No proof of that but it makes sense to suck more money out of us one way or another.

V-Line will hold me over until I do find one.

Crazy a plastic putter can go for $300. Callway's margins on these must be amazing.

Golf is very very good sport..but the cost is huge...pay 70 hit ball.off grass..lol.

Water and maintenance is a huge cost for courses obviously. It's a little more nuanced than "hit ball off grass" as you probably know. The cost of water especially has been rising significantly in the past 15 years. I personally gladly pay $70 or $90 for a well maintained course. My issue is with rip offs where you pay $80 for a course that sees a greenkeeper and a sprinkler twice a week.

The electricity to pump that water is. Add in fertilizers and herbicides and it adds up real quick.

While waiting for more replies on this thread, I have looked at possibly swapping the inserts myself.

Has anyone tried this and had success? It does not appear to be difficult - just need to be careful when pulling them. Thoughts?

Have you been able to find a source of the White Hot insert?  Or just plan on pulling from another Odyssey putter?

I have not. My thought was to pull from another putter. For example, the old 5 mallet insert and the 2ball ten are very similar sizes.

I am just unsure if I want to drop $400 into the experiment haha
