Better alignment aid: Seemore RST or Odyssey 2 Ball?

Recommended Posts

For me, neither one wound up being optimal. I had an O-Works 2 Ball and it was quick to line up but not precise.  I also have had a couple of SeeMore’s and I find it’s very slow to line up and address.  I was always taking my time checking and adjusting my alignment with the RST and I felt like I couldn’t get into a nice rhythm.

the RST works great, but the slow rhythm always bothered me and I eventually moved on.

That’s a very interesting analysis. I had an Odyssey Red Ball, but had to get rid of it because it took so long to line-up.  I think the Red Ball was a great idea in theory, but in practice out on the course it was cumbersome. I never thought about the effect that taking too long lining up a put using the “tech” might have on rhythm.
Come to think of it, this may be why I am really liking my new Two Ball Ten Tour Lined  - it gives me just enough of an alignment aid to allow me to pull the trigger more quickly as I get very uneasy standing over a putt too long.

The original 2-Ball never appealed to me, the new 2-Ball Ten may be a bit better with head shape and neck options but still may be a stretch for me. The SeeMore options there are a lot more head options that appeal to me and the alignment is a lot cleaner at address for me.

This is just personal for me as you can see the popularity of the 2-Ball is much, much higher.

I’ve tried both and didn’t care for either.  The 2-ball is too busy for me (3 balls, including the actual ball, lined up, is a lot going on), and the SeeMore felt way too mechanical.

I putt better with a single long white line.  It’s entirely personal, though, and is probably a trial and error thing. It’s not what my putter fitting showed was best for me but it is in real life.

I probably should have expanded a little bit more on this.  Alignment tools are not my biggest priority for putting - my focus is more about my shoulder rotation and having my putting stroke on plane.  The alignment aids are a loose guide for me and come after addressing the ball and checking that my putter face is square to my target line.

Anyone who thinks Seemore putters take more time to line up ought to try one first. My regular playing partner plays an Si3 and he said once he used it a few rounds he had it down and he doesn’t even look at the RST anymore before he rolls it. It is burned in. He is also the best putter I know and in any group I’m in, he is always the best putter.

I think the Seemore RST is great for helping with a consistent setup more than anything else. A lot of golfers, the way they setup almost guarantees a miss unless they compensate. Getting setup properly fixes a lot of woes and it doesn’t take any more time to do it right. Indeed, I think it’s faster because you know it’s correct.

I've tried numerous putters and always come back to my SeeMore FGP. The RST is just too good. It doesn't take long to line up at all, in fact I always found myself taking more time with other putters because I just never felt comfortable with where the putter was lined up that sometimes I'd find myself stepping off the ball, going back behind and making sure my line was right. RST I could see being a little slower at first but I've been using mine for the better part of 15 years and love it. The only problem I have is I need to find a lighter grip to increase the swingweight since the FGP is only 330g.

Seemore putter alignment is much faster and effective for me than 2 Ball.  Once you have your line it takes no time to align the RS to ensure you maintain that line.

We believe that within the first use of a SeeMore putter your alignment will improve by 50% by hiding the red dot and seeing the two white lines at address position.  When this is done your shoulders, hips, feet are square to the intended target line.  By hiding the red dot RST allows you to setup the same way for every single putt.  It does not matter the length of the putt.  Your setup will be the same.  You still have to work on reading the putt as well as speed.

Using RST (RifleScope Technology) also allows you to have a consistent ball position for every single putt as well as a consistent loft for every single putt.  Therefore you get use to the sound, feel and roll of the ball coming off the putter face for every single putt.

You are training yourself to learn what a good putt feels like.  Therefore when you do make a bad putt you know what you have done wrong and can correct it.  Using RST gives you a platform or foundation to become consistent with your putting stroke.  Give us a call if you have any questions.

Ideally you'd have both - RST for body setup alignment and 2-ball for putt line alignment!

How about it @SeeMore Putters? 😉

Even though I moved to a Cure putter, I use a setup and stroke that was grooved with my FGP.

Luv it!  We have that option with our mallet putters (small and large).  All of the SeeMore putters (mallet, offset, blade, RST hosel and straight shaft) come with RifleScope Technology (RST).  Our classic series and 100% premium milled series have large mallets with lines off the back as well.
