How often do you change your putter?

I've been using the same one for almost 20 years now. It's a Scotty Cameron TeI3 from 2001, and it's still in pretty good shape. 

 

I've experimented with some others for very brief windows (1-2 months at the most) over the years, but nothing ever compares to my TeI3. Best putter SC ever made in my opinion.

Although I have a dozen of putters, I use the Lajosi L-blade most of the time since 2016 and the backup (currently in my bag) is a Kingston KP1 GSS that I have since 2015 or a Lajosi DD201WB

If I 3-putt more than 3 times in a round, change.

Every-time Tiger Woods changes putters, change.

Whoever putts lights out in a major championship, look on ebay and golfwrx classifieds for that putter and buy it, then change pending on the next major winner.

Billy Ho says armlock should be banned, sell my armlock and change.

 

Soooo I would say not that often... LOL

I haven't change my putter since I started playing golf 6 years ago. I have tried to replace my current putter for 1-2 rounds, but it didn't work for me as I felt like my confidence is gone. Now, I am looking for a new mallet putter to replace my Ping Anser.

The better question is how often do people change putter grips? I bought a new putter this past January and it now has its 4th different grip on it.

I just switched from a 1962 Wilson Designed by Arnold Palmer to a 1967 Ping My Day. By the year 2030, I should be gaming something made in the 1970’s. Maybe a nice Ram Zebra I have my eye on.

You could carbon date my Ping Anser. Got it sometime on the 80's.

 

I do regrip it almost every year, I'm a fan of the midsized Superstrokes.

I have a garage full of derelict putters - none of them work. I rotate through them with a different one in the bag every round for the last 50 years or so. Everything from Scotty Cameron's to Bullseye's. I'm pathetic.

I've been playing my Ping G2i Craz-E since it came out. I believe it was 2004.

Moving on from my trusted Scotty this year. Had it for the last 15 seasons.
