True Spec fit me in Graphite Design Tour AD TSG Red 55 S-239 CPM?? What is Graphite Design Equivalent

Recent fitting at True Spec Golf indicated the best shat for me was a Graphite Design Tour AD TSG (special label for True Spec Golf

by Graphite Design) RED 55 S with a CPM of 239. The only thing I was told was that the shaft was a soft stiff. Shaft felt great, smooth

and dispersion was excellent. Looking to see if anyone knows what the equivalent Graphite Design shaft might be. I am 67 and know I can’t 

handle a stiff shaft anymore. The only thing I found on the GD website was the Tour AD Di 5 R1. 
   Does anyone have any thoughts? Much appreciated.

It's part of a new line of shafts TSG is getting from GDI to fill the needs they are seeing in fittings or something. I dont believe any public data is available on them - and I doubt TSG would want anyone to have that for this very reason...people wouldnt buy from them if they know it was the same as another shaft.

 

I'm sure one day someone with CPM and etc one of the shafts as they continue to leak out into peoples hands from fittings but as of now no one has any idea.

 

The best thing to do right now for anyone getting fit at a major fitting center is to say "dont fit me into a proprietary shaft".

I was fit for the exact same shaft, only difference -1 CPM from you, with the Callaway Epic Max LS at 10.5*.

 

How long did it take for your club to arrive?

If you email the US distributor for GD they’ll make a recommendation for you.

Your comment just occurred to me that the reason they list the cpm is likely for tolerance reasons. That is the exact cpm of the shaft you hit that day. So while the tolerances are tight they are able (if you order from them) to find a shaft that matches the one you hit.

Don’t know exact profile, however, do know a very good senior player that was fitted into this shaft and used the older Graphite Design G series red shaft as an inexpensive alternative and he could not discern any performance difference.
