Fujikura Atmos (TOUR SPEC) vs Ventus vs Graphite Design

Hey folks!

 

So right now I’m having a hard time deciding which shaft to throw into my 3-wood and wanted to see if you guys have had the chance to hit these shafts and if so, what was your experience! 
 

Shafts I’m looking at;

Atmos tour spec red

Ventus red

GD AD-IZ

 

They all give me solid numbers and I think it would help if I got a breakdown of the characteristics as I’m not well versed in this field (yet!).

The Ventus Red is great in the fairways for me. I played Tour Ad TP, before this and really liked it, but the Ventus added a bit more stability for me.

I loved the Tour AD IZ in my fairways. Very easy to launch and I found it to be quite stable

 

Haven't hit the other ones. Only tried tour spec black and ventus black / blue. No experience with the red profiles

Had the ATMOS Red for a while but wasnt a huge fan - The blue was better in fairways.

another vote for Ventus Red! Have it in my 4 and 7 wood. very stable shaft and great launch for fairway woods

Of those listed, I have only gamed the IZ.  Played an IZ 8X in a Mavrik 3w last year.  It was decent, but not my favorite.  That club had a case of the "lefts".  Hard to tell if it was the head or the shaft or a combo of both.  Currently have Ventus Blue (w Velocore) in 3W and I do like it.  Stable, but easy to launch.  I would like to try a Ventus Red at some point, but so far haven't hit that shaft.

Definitely, the IZ seemed the easiest to get off the ground.

I went with Ventus red in my 3 wood, but mainly hit it off tee.  If I hit if off deck I don't expect to hit it high.  I went with Ventus Blue in my 5 wood because I felt the softer handle helped me hit it off the deck easier.  I never got along with IZ, played a TP in my driver for a bit but Ventus Black kicked that out easily.  Never liked the Atmos Red, but had a blue in my hybrid forever until Ventus knocked that out as well...

Saw my dispersion get a little tighter with the Ventus red...was thinking if I went with Red, I’d probably tip it no more than .5” to see if it was help with dispersion

The red in my 4 wood is tipped .5" and i think it's helped a lot with dispersion FWIW
