Proper club pro “thank you”

Asked my club pro to arrange a reciprocal tee time for my golf trip group at a private course out of state. Curious what an appropriate thank you gesture would be - for mine and/or the other club pro as well? Cash, gift card, etc?

Or give him a gift certificate to a nice restaurant for a dinner out. 
 

Other pro? Shouldn’t be hard to find out where a decent place to eat is there.

You could tell them they won and give them pro shop credit. 😉

If you didn't know the pro personally, I'd run with a versatile gift card.

Lol.  I've never known a golfer who can't flip a bottle of good hooch either way, regardless of their current twelve step status.

There are 12 steps unless you Aussies use a different program.

If the pro owns the shop, buying some apparel in their shop never hurts either.

Cash isn’t great for a HP or DoG, a gift card for your pro and like another said - make sure your group knows everyone should be coming away with something from the shop and if allowed - tip the host staff generously at the bag drop, drink cart, restaurant, etc. and walk away knowing the host pro will welcome another group from your club. 
 

If an assistant pro sets you up somewhere nice - give him/her some cash discreetly.

This is where I would lean.  While the bottle of something is nice, buying from the shop removes the concern mentioned above.

 

For your own pro, try to do as much business with him as possible.  If you see a great deal at a store on something, ask him if he can match.  Chances are he will say go ahead that is a great deal.  But try to get all your equipment, etc., from him.  He will be far more likely to continue to do this type of thing for you. 

 

If you don't work with someone already you can do lessons as well, but that is a different kettle of fish, and you may not mesh with his style, so tread lightly there.  But merchandise and equipment through his shop is a good way to go.

I think first and foremost support your club/shop/HP as much as possible.  Participate in events, bring guests out, buy stuff in the shop.  Eat and drink regularly.  Be nice and affable.

If you’re really cheap you could just give them some of the shop credit you have earned!🤑
