Really interested to put a graphite shaft in my next putter. Has anybody had the chance to compare the Fujikura shaft to the MCA Diamana putter shaft and / or the UST Mamiya shaft? I have the UST shaft in my Yes Callie and really like the feel.

@Nic1972: By "UST Mamiya" [putter] shaft...

...are you referring to the old UST frequency-filtered shaft, circa 2005/06?
(that i believe pre-dated the UST & Mamiya merger)

... or are you referring to another newer UST Mamiya shaft?
(genuine question, as i might've missed the discussion on UST Mamiya putter shaft?)

Nope. But they’re saying they have an adapter in the works that will make it work.

No they won't fit but as @bladehunter said, Fujikura is working on an adaptor. If you can't wait, Billy Bob's has a sleeve for your Scotty to work with a graphite shaft. I haven't used one but it looks pretty simple, but might not be the most amazing looking.

Quick update on my experiment with the softest shaft.  Feel is amazing, but still learning to trust how the shaft flexes especially on long putts.  Anything within 20 feet felt really good and no issue with squaring the putter face.  On putts longer than 30 feet (which I had 2) I didn't have the trust to swing hard enough given how I could feel the shaft flex.  On both occasions I left the putt considerably short (ended up 3-putting one of the greens).

Overall I had 29 putts on some fast greens and will continue to get used to how this combination (SC Monterey head) feels with longer putts.

Same question.. my Byron is supposed to ship this week. Have a Stability shaft in my Squareback, have a Piretti with an LAGP on the way, and thinking the @Fujikura Golfwould be good in the Byron to hit the trifecta.

I’ve got the x stiff and it feels great. Doesn’t feel super stiff due to the rubber composite and it has performed well through two rounds. The blade-style head may not be perfect for me (always like the half-moon small mallets more)’but I have putted pretty well and the shaft is excellent. (Last putt I hit with it went in from 25 feet for birdie to close out my round, so no complaints!) Gives me great feedback. If I switch putters, I’ll get another Fuji putter shaft. I would be interested to try the stiff, just out of curiosity to compare the difference, but for those who like the stability shaft, the x stiff is as stable and has a more subtle feel.

That’s a good comparison, thank you. The firm one has my curiosity the most, but I know for sure I’ll like the X-Firm after playing the Stability for so long now

Got my smooth shaft in the post today was pretty excited but it looked a little off gave it a roll on a flat surface and it's not even straight/round, will be sending it back for another one asap, I would never have known if it was installed in the putter by someone else glad I'm building this one myself and noticed it.

I know fujikura make quality shafts so was a little surprised on this one.

I'm in Australia an this was through an authorised dealer it's definitely legit not a fake.

Anyway hopefully the next one I get is on spec.

I have a stiff on the way, very curious about it, figured start in the middle and can go either way depending on feel and what stats say. This will be going into a custom Lajosi which is still being milled, hopefully can get out on course before the season shuts down up in Canada.

Any other feedback on the Smooth version of this shaft? I've got one coming tomorrow, and I'm already kind of having buyer's remorse. I bought blindly (in true WRX style) based off of a review from another golf website. I like his reviews and he spoke highly of the Smooth, even saying it was going in the bag. But the more I read about it, the more it sounds like a huge departure from a steel putter shaft. I like for my driver shaft to be lively, but not so sure now how much I'll like it in the putter. Trying to decide if I should install and try or just eat the shipping cost and send it back.

If I can figure it all out. I need to get one of these. Then if Fuji comes out with premium Ventus iron shafts in a weight around 110 (hint hint @Fujikura Golf). I could end up with Fuji shafts top to bottom..

On two different trips last week I rolled a Bettinardi BB8W with an MC X Firm shaft and liked it so much I bought it. That’s a beautiful putter first of all and even though it is the wide model I would say it is not quite as wide as the Odssey wide blades. I like the clean cavity in the Betti BB8W (350g, deep etch grip), the extra width of the blade does not look like an add-on. But the thing is, I thought I was done with blades and am moving to a mallet — but this putter with this shaft felt so awesome I grabbed it. It is the kind of offset plumber’s neck I putted with for years so hopefully no big adjustment. I was rolling it very accurately in testing. Feel off the face and through the shaft was pure. I don’t know what it is but the weight and balance of the build seems perfect.

Regardless of the head, the MC X Firm shaft is amazing. If you’re a feel putter it’s a lot of fun. So many options now and it is all preference but having tried Stroke Lab, KBS, etc., I much prefer the Fuji MC. I also tried a buddy’s putter fitted with the Stability shaft. It was stable, felt like stiffer steel. The Fuji MC does not feel like steel, it feels more understated. Great feedback and it somehow is soft and stiff feeling at the same time. The shaft has its own feel, no doubt. I took it out to Laurel Hll’s practice green yesterday and had the speed down in no time. Felt like I did not have to hit putts as firmly to get them there. These shafts are worth checking out. The X Firm is not at all boardy, at least to me.

I have the betti bb8w, great putter. Did you try any other flexes?
