It’s obvious the crash was a pre planned self inflicted episode so Tiger could be like Hogan. Rumor has it he had pics of Hogans mangled car above his bed growing up.  There is a movie script already in the works, the working title is Follow The Fun ..  Will Smith is slated as the leading man  😂😂

maybe subconsciously he drove into that tree for a greater comeback than Hogan

Dude, he shattered his ankle.  Tibia rehab is 5 years.   Foot rehab is for life.

He will be rehabbing until he's age 50 just to have a normal life.   He's DONE.

Whether or not this is accurate, its impossible to take anyone seriously when they say Tiger is done at this point unless they are also holding his newly severed head while saying it.

I shattered my tib and fib.  Very painful, but they had me walking after 3 months.  With a good rehab program Tiger should be hitting balls again no problem. I was playing golf, with a cart after 4-5 months.  I did no real rehab, just a lot of walking on my own.
It’s the foot.  My Dr. Told me I was very lucky the fracture stopped just above the ankle joint.  If Tiger is still on crutches he’s either had more surgeries or something is very wrong with his ankle.

No, but it was close to being one, they did cut me open the next day, insert of bunch of screws and a metal plate.  It was a spiral fracture, so it kind of broke into several pieces.  Let's just say the bone was pushing a big bulge in the skin, it looked like it was millimeters from punching through.

But I get your point, compound, makes it a bit more complicated maybe....it's the ankle fracture that must be very touchy.  My point was if it was just the ankle fracture they were trying to mend he should have at least been hitting some balls by now or playing a few holes in a cart.  I am worried he has some big issues going on in the ankle...but we are just all speculating.  I do hope he is more than an honorary starter at the Masters in the future.  It would be good to see him compete some again, I just don't know how much he can practice with all the damage done, long term his back may still be the bigger issue.

Ya, sounds super nasty and in regions with structural complexities of all kinds going on. I imagine the healing process is lengthy.

Yes. I routinely have patients off of their foot for four months after those injuries. And sometimes partial weight-bearing for several more months before they return to full weight-bearing.

Are you able to surgically repair the ankle so that it stays in the perfect ball striking position, a la Calvin Peete and his left elbow?

“Dak Prescott suffered a compound right ankle fracture Sunday night, ending his season for the Cowboys“

this guy is back out there playing high level Football after a year and they are saying he is better than pre injury.  Not golf. Tigers biggest issue is still his back for a golf swing.

Easier to heal in your 20's than 40's.  I hope Tiger returns and gets to 18+ majors but it's not looking good.

shoot it was never looking good for 18 majors with his back. The good thing about his leg/ankle injuries is that it's the right leg in the golf swing. If anything just don't push off as hard on the back leg which will probably help his swing. Lead leg injuries a bit worse for golf swing but he has had plenty of those as well.

He isn't running around in the pocket from defenders trying to crush him and throwing off his dominate leg like Dak is.

He had a realistic shot at it. Nobody knows Augusta quite like him and I could've def seen him winning one more Green Jacket, then it'd just be finding one more out there to tie before he retires. Phil just won at 50. Tiger could've got two if he just hired someone to drive for him full time.

I just don't understand how a man that is the face of Nike, the PGA, and is worth $800 million doesn't have a full time driver at his disposal.

Not trying to be overly blunt, but hauling Tiger around to visit various mistresses probably wasn't the type of career opportunity a chauffeur would want to have.

I'll quit talking and go with what @ALIF said above.  It sounds like it's at least 7 months till full weight bearing with this injury.  So if he's still on crutches now then I think ya gotta be worried.  But what do I know?

Ferg, just for clarification, your wording seems to be making a prediction that TW will return to competitive golf.  I'm also keeping a list, should we mark you down that he will return to competitive golf? 🙂

I'm making no prediction. My hopes is just that he recovers to the point that he can do what he wants.

You realize, of course, that Woods' injuries were far different and far more complex than Dak's?

Oh wait, I guess you didn't.
