Title update. Tiger: From crutches to golf swings

Can almost see the first photo release as a calculated move if he knew he was going out in public to his son's tournament.  Beat the media to the punch of being the first one to show Tiger post surgery before the people go crazy trying to get the first snaps and selling it to every media outlet.  Show your face, kill some of the hype/buzz that would have happened had the first shots came without his permission while just trying to enjoy his kid's tournament.  He knows better, always going to be someone trying to seize the opportunity at the junior tournament...completely expected in his world...but still.

Wow great point, I didn’t think of that. That has to be why he posted that pic.

This accident is actually a great opportunity for Tiger to slip away into retirement in a manner where fans won't dismayed at a decrease in playing ability in the high level tournaments.  If he decides to come back, then there will also be an opportunity to use the leg injury as a reason for not being competitive.

Either way, he is living a good life without a want in the world.  I wish I had three amazing holes in my backyard that I could practice on any time I want.  I wonder what the maintenance cost is each year to keep those holes in that type of condition.

Could be TW 5.0 on the horizon...

Just a few appearances at the Open and Masters. Maybe play a tournament the week before to get loose.

No expectations, just for the fans to get a glimpse of the best to ever tee up a golf ball.

And, who knows, maybe one day...

Border collie.  Bold move there.  Easily the smartest breed I’ve ever been around as far as problem solving and the ability to get into mischief.  An uncontrolled border collie is literally a mastermind criminal !    Lol.  Tiger must have a great trainer .  And remember folks. Never trust anyone who doesn’t like dogs.  It’s a sign of the inability to confront their own short comings.  A dog will show you what  you lack.

Guess the lower leg air cast is gone. That seems to be a good sign for Tiger.

yeah, leg looked a bit swollen maybe?  Could have been wrapped under that compression sleeve.

i wonder if he’s weight bearing yet and just using the crutches for support or whether he’s still completely off it.

Perhaps if we are lucky, this becomes a Tiger returns at Tiger’s event...again.

Not likely. He said he is just working to be able to walk on his own. He is not off crutches at all.

I fractured my tib and fib several years ago, not compound, but lets just say my leg had some angles in it you never want to see.....steel plate screws etc.  I was walking on it gingerly after 3 months.  At 5 months I was moving freely with some discomfort and a limp but playing golf and doing most daily activities.  This with minimal rehab except for walking.

Should we be concerned that Tiger is still on crutches?  Most bone breaks and surgeries heal at around 3 months to the point you should be able start functioning normally.

I would assume that it would cost him nothing seeing as how he has a design business. Plus the fact he uses the real estate for work, tax deductions come in to play. One has to also guess that research and development...I'm sure he has numerous offices and training center at his compound  on the property. All the vehicles at the developement is work related, etc.... IMO
