Anyone else disappointed with the delivery times from the big OEMS?

I've only bought from little ones and it was 2 days from order to at my door. My irons are still being Forged, so I understand the wait. First week of May I am told.

Ordered a set of P770s first week of Feb, estimated 03/30 delivery date at order. That got pushed out multiple times to May, early April, then late April. Checked in and was told they were in production two weeks ago.

Estimated delivery date came and went, at which point I was told 04/23 delivery date. Yesterday came and went, come to find out:

Not even in production yet somehow. Still waiting on PX shafts, estimated to be another month before they're even in stock. TBD on delivery date.

Delays I understand, but for the love of god figure out how to communicate what is going on in your factory. If I was told mid-late May from the get, I wouldn't be half as frustrated as I am now. Absurd.

I'm surprised people would be having issues with this given that it has been a known issue for like a year now.  Basically EVERYTHING is well behind the norm.  The renos on our house are pushed well back as things just aren't available.  Kitchen cabinets that usually take 2 weeks from order are now 15+ weeks.  It's going to take over 3 months just to get our windows done.

At least someone gets it.

I fit clubs for a living for one of the big 3, currently we are quoting 4-6 weeks after availability date. Availability date means when all components for said fit are in or expected to be in stock. Unfortunately, the only thing companies can really control is how quickly club heads can be manufactured as long as they have all the raw materials to do so. If components are holding up manufacturing, shafts or grips, that is not the club manufacturer's fault.

Actual shipping time...that's a completely different animal.

Yes, I agree totally.  I understand the supply chain delays, but the lack of communication is unforgivable.  I just ordered some wedges from Ben Hogan.  Got a really nice confirmation email and they indicated that they will do their very best to ship as quickly as possible.  Anxious to see if their communication continues or if that's it.

If you got to some of the big OEM's sites or some of the retailers, they just have some boiler plate on their sites that state there are delays in manufacturing... communication could make us all feel so much better about the delays, which are perfectly understandable.

They are pumping that stuff out as fast as possible because they are getting boo coo bucks for it and there's no liability on their part so it's a win win situation.

The raw materials for the pfizer and Moderna vaccines aren't the easiest to source.  And there are lots a drugs needed besides vaccines.  Need to keep our priorities.

Yikes.  Hope it's improving now.

It will be.  J&J will have like 8M more in the next 6 weeks or so.  Moderna is on contract target but reducing weekly amounts.  I'm sure that we will be getting more AZ from the US as I don't think it ever got cleared and it had a June expire date.

Golf isn't the only industry that is having hard time meeting the demand. At our automobile dealership, we can't get any new vehicles quickly enough. As of today, we only have 26 new and used vehicles in stock. Normally, it's around 200-250 new and used vehicles in inventory. Manufacturers are having problems getting enough parts to build vehicles. I know it's same for golf OEM's.

I can tell you this, my industry uses a lot of urethane and surlyn. There is a worldwide shortage of ether and resin, which are needed for plastics. My supplier also supplies many golf companies. I was told that shipments are so tight to golf companies that most of them are not making ANY range balls and due to very low urethane supplies literally cannot fill most orders..
