Anyone else disappointed with the delivery times from the big OEMS?

Ordered set of blades directly from Wilson in mid February. Not a peep from Wilson and I still don’t have them. (I actually forgot I ordered them until I read this thread!)

A friend of mine ordered a set of 3 Titleist black wedges in January and is still waiting.

This isnt just in the golf industry.  This is pretty much every industry, especially in the manufacturing sectors.  Nobody can find anyone to come to work.  We're reaping the rewards of paying people more to stay home and unemployed than coming back to work.  In the business I help run, I've literally had 2 people come through my door and apply for a job since the first of the year.  

 

This won't get better until these expanded benefits no longer are paid out, which I believe is until September.  So maybe by the fall things might pick up.  One thing this may do is stop the OEM's from adding more/different product this winter....they'll be too busy fulfilling current orders.

No self respecting golf ho doesn't have at least a 10 dozen stockpile in the closet. 🙂

 

I'll echo what everybody else here has said. Stuff is backed up everywhere. Supplies I've been ordering for 15 years and receiving within the week have been on order since January and due to get off the boat at the end of May. People that were accustomed to running lean inventories are having to scramble for just about whatever they can get their hands on right now Oh, and the next order will be going up at least 15%. Golf clubs are peanuts in the grand scheme of things.

My wife works in IT for a large health care organization and says good luck getting laptops and chip upgrades. Months behind.

I placed an order Dec 2020 for Callaway MD5 raw wedges. At that time they were expected to be 6-8 weeks. No problem. Come March the new expected date changed to June 2021. Okay... pass. I'm patient, but not THAT patient.

 

I have a buddy who runs Amazon delivery services and this is a problem in almost every industry. He can't find drivers for his business. Until our government stops giving away money this issue will persist.

Majority of backorders are actually not the OEM manufacturer.  Most delays are due to grips and shafts not being in stock from the shaft/grip companies.  9/10 orders I see delayed are not heads, but shafts/grips.

Got fitted for a TSi2 driver over spring break. Still waiting for it....
