The pictures so far make it look better than I was expecting. I’d probably get the 13.5 head and loft it up a degree or two. I think it would pair nicely with the Motore X F3 70 I have in my 3 wood right now.

I’m thinking 13.5 as well, with the option of turning down to open the face. I’m pondering the RDX black 80 or the ventus blue 70.  Anyone use the RDX  black 80 in a fairway?  I have it in the 70, it feels a little loose.

I had a text session with Taylormade Customer Service yesterday and the person on the TM end said they have not been given any information regarding the 300 mini.  This might be true but regardless TM is not discussing this driver.  Seems strange since the driver has been released down under.  To say this is a little irritating would be accurate.  Now that we have seen pictures of it, know the size is 307cc and comes in 11.5 and 13.5 variants the waiting game commences.  Now I have to decide whether I want to pull the trigger and get one or not.  Decisions, decisions, decisions .....

Driver:  TaylorMade 300 Mini 11.5° (10.2°), Fujikura Ventus Blue 5S Velocore

It's not strange as the embargo date hasn't arrived.  Customer Service is just doing their job. Plus TM already posted in this thread about the release date.

Bought one here in Australia.

Couldn't sell it quick enough.

Put it head to head against my Original one. Same loft, tried swapping shafts.

It was no contest. The OO feels better off the face. Goes just as far. Looks better with the consistent black and grey face.

Maybe the 300 has a touch better forgiveness - maybe. And the crown looks a bit better with the bigger head. But that it. It felt terrible compared to the OO

And the stock shaft. Yuk.

The 300 is the poor cousin to the Oo overall imo. The OO is a masterpiece - a rocket. The 300 will do the job, but won't be very pleasing doing it.

Each to their own. Some people might love it more. Good luck.

@ClubhoeThanks... did you perceive any differences w.r.t. the sound for the 300mini, vs the OO? (i'm guessing sound & feel = related)

No obvious difference that caught my attention. It was only the solid feel off the OO face vs the unflattering tink feel from the 300.

Tried off the deck too. Lost distance compared to my OO off the deck.

I spoke to a few who've hit the 300 via demo with reps.  The sound is louder from what they tell me which means I'll be expecting a lot of people reaching out to me to hotmelt them in my shop. I'll probably grab one as well and mess with acoustics to get it dialed in.

Yeah I didn't notice any real difference in sound. And I went one after the other shot after shot at one stage. Usually sound would be high on my radar. But yeah, if others have heard that then that may be another factor.

I really was wanting this mini to be better again that the OO. Maybe I'm just putting the OO on too high a benchmark.

I would have loved to have seen the inner OO in the headsize, crown and sole of the 300. Perfect.

It could also be ball dependent (sound).  I didn't think to ask them what balls they hit but i'm assuming a high quality range ball considering the clubs they're at.  Either way sound is easily fixable and I melt tons of heads in my shop weekly for this reason.  As I said, sound shouldn't deter anyone from a stick that works great for them.

Saw it at a demo day but didn’t hit it.  Looked closed but at least it’s adjustable.

I’ll be picking one of these up! It’s got a perfect spot in the bag as a 3 wood replacement. Set up m6 driver at 6 degrees Ventus black 6tx, 300 mini 13.5 Ventus black 8x, tsi2 5 wood at 18 degrees Ventus black 10x. I’ve hit tsi3 3 wood off the fairway maybe once this year. Perfect replacement for a second club off the tee

I'll contact my course and see if they will be getting a TM Mini in to test.  I am intrigued with the 307cc head and would like to compare it to my M3.
