I'd probably pick one up if they made 13.5 in LH. Looks great.

Got to the range today. Still loving the 11.5 @ 9.5, long flat bombs.

Turned the 13.5 up to 15.5 and its killer off a low tee and easier for me to hit than a standard 3 wood. Also very easy off the deck.

Can you tell what sort of distance difference you’re seeing between them?

Outstanding.  Now a little more practice with them and then to the course!  It will be terrific to see the update after a round or two.  I would also be interested in performance comparisons between the 300 Mini 11.5° (9.5°) and your former driver.  I will certainly be making a comparison between my 300 Mini and my M3 after a bit of range time when I finally get the Mini.

Hard to say for sure as I don’t have a launch monitor, but I’m gonna say the 11.5 @9.5 carries 15-20 yards longer than the 13.5 @ 15.5 and will most certainly have more roll-out due to the lower flatter trajectory.

After another range session, this driver is so ridiculously easy to use and hit straight.  I was even a bit fatigued and swinging slower than normal and still carrying it 240-250 easily.  As a recreational golfer that only plays a couple rounds a year with clients and some random golf outings, I will take it.

@Seattlegolfnut There was a recent post on the 300 mini’s head weight (albeit I can’t seem to find it... here or elsewhere on GolfWRX).

From imperfect memory... thought it said Approx same weight as the Original One ie 210grams +/- 2grams?

Played 9 with mine today. The front in my closest local course has 5 holes that I can tee off with it on. Haven’t tried or had a chance to hit it off the deck. I love the sound and feel. It’s easier to hit off a tee than a fairway wood and the 5 holes is a small sample size, it seems to offer the control over gotten from fairway woods with a bit more distance. I’m playing the 11.5 head at standard loft right now.

I love his video's always entertaining but it's hilarious that he tries these with a 65 Stiff when he swings it 120+.  Hence his wild shot pattern with both.   These heads will not be drastically difference but the 300 will be a little high MOI and be easier to elevate with the sole plate.  The 300 is basically a slightly more forgiving Original One which I'm all for.

I've never watched (or heard of) this guy before, but that was the first thing I noticed. If he's carrying an 11.5º mini-driver 300 yards in the air...no way he should be using a Stiff flex shaft. Haha.

He's an entertaining one to watch.  Pounds the ball, funny commentary, and seems like a humble dude.  Most of his reviews seem to be stock set ups with stiff shafts as well.

It is a horse for my course.

Love this quote.

I'm jumping on the bandwagon here for that reason! I missed the mini-driver selections of 2014 - 2019 with young kids and not golfing much. Phil hitting it at Kiawah opened my eyes to what was out there that I was missing.

My home course in the PNW is really tight fairways, with 100' dense fir trees that demand accuracy. And it's short. ~6000 yards from back tees. I hit driver on 1 hole. 3W and 4 iron are tee clubs on everything else that's not a par-3.

I never hit a 3W off the deck unless I top my tee shot 10 yards and it's still on the tee box. 🙂

Can't wait to get it into play -- thinking 13.5 turned down to 15 or 15.5.

Ironically, and amusingly...

I've been using the OO as my main tee stick for a while.  Dallied for a month with a King LTD set up similarly, went back to the OO.  Played in a two man Member-Member event in the Men's Club that felt sorry for me and let me join, wasn't happy with my tee game after Day One.  Put the LTD back in the bag for Day Two.

Which was an unmitigated disaster.  LOL  My results were somewhat less than stellar.

There's no need for details, I own no stock in antacid-producing companies.  I'll just say I was motivated to put my OO back in my bag for my next round.  😉

@Zena ...

The interchangeable shaft (with standard TM driver/wood adaptor, on the 300mini/ OO) is wonderful, for some trial-and-error self-fitting!

if you’ve already bought the 300mini... then many fitters should be able to help with your find-the-right-shaft journey (ie just pay the fitter for his time/ access to their shafts with TM adapters!)

Thanks for idea @JungleJimbo. I did just that yesterday. My fitter has a universal adapter on all the fitting shafts, so we opted for "borrowing" the OEM provided shafts with the various demo TM Drivers and 3 Woods and tried them on the range at both standard length and gripped down to 300 length. Stiff shafts weren't cutting it, and I decided to take a leap into X territory. They only had Rogue Silver 110 60 in an X flex, but wow this shaft was brilliant and checked all the boxes in terms of stability/speed, feel, flight, and distance. Ordered one off the Bay for $70, and I shall see the combo performs on my launch monitor once it arrives.

Other Shafts Tried (all stock offerings):

-Tensei AV Raw Blue 60S

-Kuro Kage Silver S

-Ventus Non-Velocore in 50S, 60S

-Air Speeder 45S

-HZRDUS Smoke RDX 70S

I have secured a Fujikura Ventus Blue Velocore 6S shaft which will most likely arrive at weeks end, probably around the same time as my 300 Mini.  I will definitely do some testing with the 5S and Velocore 6S and try to get on the trackman at my home course.  While my driving with my M3 has been pretty decent, I am hoping the 300 Mini takes my driving game over the hump and make it easier to work the ball both ways more consistently.

I forgot that I had a 1 inch tipped Tour AD XC in 8X laying around not being utilized, so I epoxied on a Taylormade adaptor and gave it a go.

I couldn’t quite hit this shaft as far as the stock 6S off the tee, but it made hitting off the deck even more of a breeze.  The less predictable left/right curvature was completely gone and it seemed to launch at just over 15 degrees consistently in the 9.5 setting (still have no idea how it gets the ball up like that).

Regardless, I’d be very confident in taking that shot in a round if the shaft is stable enough.

Has anyone who pre ordered this with the stock shaft gotten theirs? Or even gotten a shipping notification yet? Mine said it will ship on the 15th but no news yet.

Order 11.5 with stock shaft on July 6th directly from TaylorMade.    Got my shipment notification today.
