Yeah, she was gunning for both of those until I told her that I'd found a hot BOGO deal on gloves at Dick's Sporting Goods, and that I was in possession of my dream putter (not a lie, I've been drooling over the Odyssey White Hots since they came out, and found one for a dollar last fall).

haha, you act like these 3pc balls and wedges are hard to come by.  My costco has had both in stock for the past 7 visits (2+ months I'd guess).  They haven't been moving very quickly from what I can tell.  I wouldn't be surprised if they get marked down on special in the fall/winter.

Finding the right bounce on your wedges is very important but for 15+ handicaps such as yourself, this is a great option.  I hope it treats you well.  Enjoy.

You're not kidding!  I take pride in my short game - greenside chips and pitches are probably the strongest part of my game; I can usually count on saving par or birdie at least once per round (I also don't play very frequently...once or twice a month is all)...making up for my consistent slices off the tee.  I've struggled to find a good wedge system - couldn't hit Vokeys consistently (though, the good hits were beautiful), couldn't hit Clevelands, and my G400 wedges aren't great for me on close-in delicate shots.  I've been impressed thus far with the K-Sigs, and can't wait to get them out on a range or a course when time allows.

That was super nice of your MIL.  I just saw that the wedges are now available in Canada on Costco.ca.  We normally don't get clubs at Costco up here so it is good to see.

Balls too.

I enjoy watching Rick's videos quite a bit - he's on my "subscribed" list on Youtube!

I didn't realize it was a "gift" when I read it initially.  Wasn't trying to spoil the party, I simply was thinking his Mother in law "found" Ksig equipment, which is why I went on saying it hasn't been hard to come by at my costco.

It was obviously very nice of his Mother in law to surprise him with the very nice gift.

How your post elicited even "one" Debbie Downer comment here is beyond me. Anyway super nice of your mom in law to do this for you and very nice of you to post in appreciation for what she did!

A lot of that going around here lately. Ragging on putter makers, ragging on the shoe market, ragging on BST listings. Whole lot of energy being spent on negativity.

Good thing he's a 15+ handicap though or it would be a little less nice of a gift, right? Don't worry, no one cares enough about your opinion to let you spoil the party.

I had the worlds best mother in law. She would do similar things and it just reinforced that she considered me her son. I had some friends who weren’t so lucky so I saw what the opposite could be like. Enjoy your stuff - and your mother in law.

Great stuff here. Enjoy OP!

You're a little late to the roast.  As I said earlier I didn't realize it was a gift when I made my initial comment, which wasn't to insult but rather say they have been available in my local costco.  Regarding the 15+ handicap comment, that's simply due to the bounce.  A high handicapper will probably not notice the different in bounce of a wedge and why 1 is more ideal for their swing versus another.

Unfortunately that’s the case. The days of everyone being cordial are gone. It used to be a pretty positive set of forums...last few years have seen more and more of the “I just want an internet argument” type responses. This isn’t directed at the one response here...but I’ll say that it doesn’t drive me to frequent the site like I did years ago.

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
