MEMBER REVIEWS: Tour Edge Exotics C721 Drivers! See What Members Are Saying!

I am probably a little sour grapes here because I really wanted to test this club but I wish we could have had more reviewers with a little more speed. I guess these clubs are going to be marketed to the senior sector so this is their focus. That is unfortunate because I’m sure it would perform very well for the faster player.
I have not had any chance to play this driver but I do play the EXS Pro and can say that it is the best driver I have played in my 40 years of playing golf. I absolute love the thing. Thank you guys who got the chance for giving us your thoughts. End of my small rant.

I believe it was just random testing and I am not sure how they could figure out our age based on limited information in our profile. With that said, I don't see how these are Senior clubs. They are forgiving. But, they offer a variety of shafts. I think Tour Edge found a marketing niche on the Sr tour. But, from a performance point of view, anyone can benefit from these.

I have the EXS Pro, has anyone been able to compare this to what I’m playing?

That’s exactly what I wanted to do. I love that driver though and after going through dozens upon dozens of combinations I doubted it could beat out my EXS Pro.

Just to backup a minute. I did say it was sour grapes. And I didn’t mean to belittle any of you guys reviews. I think you all did a great job and it was very helpful. My apologies and thanks.

I got all excited and got one of these coming.  Forgot about the potential discount but I got a good deal for a barely used driver.  I'll add my thoughts when I get it!

Are you saying you do like it better than the Pro? The exs pro is the first driver in I don’t know how long that I actually get some roll rather than finding my drive 2’ in front of a pitch mark. I’m hitting it straighter than ever, may have given up a few yards on what feels like a crushed drive vs my Cobra but directionally I’m hitting it like a completely different person. This thing gives me a low tight draw, my Cobra I literally can only hit a fade. The only reason this 712  is interesting is because I feel like the company probably put 100% of their R&D into this and I’m playing like a limited edition beta version of a club they put out.

I would have loved to demo this as well. I've had the EXS 220 for a couple of months now (12* /Velocore 4t) and love it. Loved it so much I bought the 3w with the same shaft. I've used nothing but Exotics fw's since their inception and the EXS220 was the 1st driver that made it into my bag. Has anyone hit both the 220 and the 721 and if so what differences did you notice?

I'm not part of the test pool but I play this driver and want to give a huge thanks to Tour Edge. We all know it's a great driver, but the customer service was outstanding.

I bought mine with the RDX black 60 6.5 because it's the only X they had (btw thanks to PGATSS for putting a head and driver together from 2 different clubs to help me avoid having to custom order). In my 2nd round the HZRDUS snapped right at the adapter. I took it back to the store on Monday or Tuesday, told them what happened, and mentioned I would really prefer the 70g shaft. Friday of the same week I got a call that the shaft was in and TEE had sent the 70g.

4 day turnaround for a replacement shaft, I was shocked.

Replacing it with the heavier model was above and beyond! 👏🤩

I understand perfectly. I do love this EXS Pro. I don’t believe I will purchase the 721 at this point because I just don’t think it would be an upgrade. Really wanted to give it a go here though just to see.

I took the C721 driver out for another spin (or lack of) yesterday. It was pretty windy out there and I foolishly tried to overpower it on a few swings. I still managed to hit 7 out of 11 fairways with 2 of the misses just into the first cut. The other 2 misses were overswing, over the top pulls that went dead left. I don't see this driver leaving the bag any time soon.

That's the problem I am having with it right now. I am putting my drives in places I haven't seen in a while. Then I want more and start to over swing losing some control. I need to settle in and let the driver do the work. I am amazed how much roll I am getting out of this driver.

Getting dialed in with the C721 and the Red Ventus R shaft. I was playing around with every setting and settled on UO, 10.5 with the higher lie angle. I am now getting a consistent left to right shot (not a slice), which I was fighting it and now, I'm playing the fade and it works great. Just needed to spend more time with it to get the feel and timing down. I'd highly recommend this set up.

Played the Raven course in Sandestin, Florida this week while on vacation.  Tom Fazio course I believe.  Very nice and would recommend.  Hope we can find gasoline for the trip home😂

Found 12 of 14 fairways.  Driver still set on 10.5 and hitting baby draws with low spin and low to medium height.  Seemed to loose a bit of distance at 10.5 so going back to 9.5 next week.  Probably due to softer fairways.  But the love affair continues.  Everyone that I let try the C721 seems to love it as well.  Will be interested to see how well it sells based on all the positive reviews.

I took the C721 out for a couple of spins this weekend. The driver continues to impress me and pretty much everyone I play with. On the 14th hole, I handed it to a playing partner that was still swinging an old TM R-11s to try out. Now this guy doesn't have a short game to speak of but he hits a good ball with that R-11s. He has a stiff shaft in it and I thought my regular flex Ventus red might be too soft for him. I told him not to hold back on the swing. He let'r rip and hit a beautiful high smooth draw that carried about 270 into a little breeze and then rolled out to a little over 300. He just turned and looked at me with the biggest ship eating grin on his face and said....can I have it? LOL....I said that would be a hard pass on my part and told him to go look up www.TourEdge.com. I only missed 4 fairways yesterday and none of the misses were more than 5 feet from the edge of the fairway. I can't wait to see what it will do down in Florida next week when the wife and I take our first vacation since Covid started.

TXG started their driver bracket of 2021. Finally posted the first head to head with C721. TE ended up winning against Cobra because of how straight it was. This is how I feel about this driver that its long and forgiving. Hit anywhere on the face is more forgiving than any other driver I've hit recently.

Wonder how it would do vs SIM2?

425 Max I believe.  Continue to love the C721.  Hit one way on the toe yesterday and was still long and straight with gentle draw.  High MOI it is.  Will be watching MGS for their CG and MOI report because I want to see if this is draw biased.  Think so but would like to see where CG is.

For those who've hit this or currently bag it, did you loft up in it? Just wondering how low spin it is. Typically i'll play standard Callaway heads (Mavrik, and Epic Speed) in 9*, and their LS variants in 10.5* of loft. Wondering if i go 10.5 with the option to loft down in case (I typically fight hooks as my miss).

I got the 10.5 and seems to be a good option for me at higher speed. Have the option at 9.5 or 11.5 (though I don't see myself using this option). I've dabbled with the 9.5 setting a bit but it was before I had the correct shaft in there. This driver seems to be pretty low spin so I wouldn't see at least myself needing a 9.5 to loft down. YMMV

Anyone have an RDX Blue 70G shaft or a RDX Black 70G in this Driver?  If so what do you think?  I play a smoke black 80G 6.5 in my SIM because I prefer a heavier Driver Shaft and i noticed the blue 70G is actually heavier than the black.

Yeah if you scroll up you can see the pictures of my RDX Black 70G 6.5 shaft. They originally sent me the 6.0 by accident.

I've never played a HZRDUS shaft in my woods before but I'm really enjoying this shaft. The 6.0 felt great but the 6.5 helped with dispersion for me. Like you said, the blue is heavier than the black so I wouldn't consider my setup heavy but I think it's a great fit. Nothing too heavy or light. 6.5 doesn't feel anything close to a stiff board and has some feel to it.

I can't wait for mine to come in!! I've been playing 10+ year old driver tech for a long time... Hoping that the 10.5 and X-stiff shaft will be a good fit.  With the low spin I'm looking forward to hopefully catching some more distance and tighter dispersion.

I got mine with 10.5 and play it at 9.5 to ward off the hooks.  My swing speed is about 93 and didn't see a big drop in spin at 9.5 loft.
